Oh, what's the execution going to be like if I choose execution? Is it something fast like a shot to the back of the head or is it going to be something horrific like scaphism?

I assume we have reasons to believe the Party is honest with their leniency offer?

They're willing to ensure you aren't ever a problem to them by giving you the rest of your life in total luxury so long as you stop trying to incite the revolution, as you have come closer than anyone else to destroying their grip on the populace.

I rather die, no government should have that much power. I would become a Martyr and further encourage the rebel's to fight on. Viva la revolution!

I would take the execution, or, preferably, if such a thing were possible, tell the regime to choke on a mountain of dicks instead of renouncing, and be executed anyway.

I'd take a third route, and rather than just bite the dust, take the offer to denouce the group, but when the time comes, say that the corrupt government told me they'd give me a life of luxury if I dounouced the group.

Take the offer, but surreptitiously work a secret code word into my denouncement speech that signals my lieutenants to begin the revolt anyway.

Is there even the slightest chance of saying a few words before I die? I'd like to ensure, if possible, that I die a martyr, but if I can't say anything I'll just have to hope my death inspires my minions.

Plus, every time somebody points out that they probably murdered you, trying to use your betrayal as a rallying point, they can just have you make another speech, proving that they're honest about things and that you really WERE a traitor and a scoundrel.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

If I cared enough to start an armed revolution that shoots people over the issue, I care enough to die for it. The "say you'll denounce your side on national TV and then actually yell a pro-revolution chant" thing could also happen, if I think that it would actually work out.

If we assume that I have perfect knowledge of the situation, and that my denouncement of the rebellion will be live, I take the deal and backstab the government with by super heavy duty anti-government rant. If we assume that I have imperfect knowledge of the situation and can't know for sure if my speech would  be live, I still go with plan A. When they haul me down and prepare to execute me publicly to demoralize the rebellion, I kill myself before I can be on TV, to hinder the government's plan however possible.

Strife general rule 2: if my continued living hampers humanity, then steps must be taken immediately to start helping humanity again.
2a: if there is no reasonable way for me to continue to help humanity, self terminate.

Anyone who leads a revolution against tyranny and injust yadda yadda ect, should be willing to die for it. I hope, in that circumstance, I'd reject the deal. As for being able to speak before execution, I have my doubts a leader of the resistance would be able to stand, let alone speak, after the horrors they'd inflict on him/her in the days leading up to the execution.

Evil Empire, after all, would want to show just how pathetic the resistance leader is, and showing him beaten and broken would help demoralize the revolution.

So yeah, in that crappy situation I vote 'reject the deal and die horribly'.
