I wake up to hear Jaxy screaming "OH THE FPS! IT HURTS!". Is he crazy or something?
Some time later, I'm told that Trigg gave birth to a girl. Cheveux is getting an expansion to his/Dsarker's room.
I'm going to begin a massive hall full of engravings, so we can remember great things of the past, and admire artwork in general really. Firelordsky has been showing unusual interest in corpses lately. Jaxy randomly ordered the butchering of some creatures "To ease the framerate". Whatever that means.

Coins minted. Our stockpiles are overflowing with food, but we need more. Maybe some stockpiles at busy places so people don't have to walk all the way. And some dining rooms too. Little dining areas spread back and forth. Perhaps a few beds thrown in. Dastot the hammerdwarf recently spotted a snatcher. It's amazing how brutally efficient hammers are... Then, migrants?

Engraver he's good at. But he can also brew, mine, engineer siege weaponry, negotiate, make jokes, and I think he's a surgeon.

What is this voice? It's giving me a headache. But if I go down to the caverns, it gets better the further I go... Ow, it's hard to concentrate. Let's just relax...
"Katana, I think something's in the distance." Great, just what's needed, Sarversh (OOC: Military with high observer wandering out for a second is never a good sign.). Well, Dsarker gave birth to another boy. Good sign, or bad sign, we'll see.


Quintijn ended up meeting them first, suddenly entered an amazing trance of smashing everything in sight, and destroyed half of them by the time we got there. Looking at the spearmaster's weapon, it's amazing how well you can make something badly.

Anyway, Urist McHuman managed a few shots, but didn't kill anything before the retreat. But then, turns out another squad was here. And they didn't retreat. Quint has one of the highest killcounts among us. It's amazing.


You were right. We can't trust anyone. One of our speardwarves were shot and killed. Our newest recruit hammerdwarf is now lying unconscious. Another speardwarf has bled to death after a major wound to the heart. While the siege was broken, things were far from over. Another three ambushes were spotted, and I'm pretty sure there are many more waiting for us.

I know who I can trust now. And the sapphire men, I cannot. Conan's squad will attack them. Although their equipment is great, their skill was not. According to Conan, it was easy to dodge the storm of aoryl, but still worrying considering one hit would mean death. Ryl beasts ambushed Sodel, the tanner. Luckily, she was fast enough to escape with only minor bruising. I still think more have come. I can feel it. (OOC: in the fps.)

Vucar, G's wife just gave birth to a boy. And then some troglodytes were spotted and killed before doing any harm. Oh right, and we're shoving the legendary wooden door into Cheveux's office so he considers it a throne room. Strange guy. We'll also shove a weapon trap with some useless failed crap at the entrance so he feels "safer". Mostly things like Urist's lower quality cr- Dsarker was just possessed. Strangely, she claimed the forge that was intended for studding items (non-magma). While observing her behavior, I was yelled at by Jaxy "FPS DROP! THEY'RE COMING FOR US! I CAN FEEL IT IN THE FPS! OH THE FPS IT BURNS!". Has he been drinking enough?
Then Dsarker began something with silver. And some pink garnets we had bought. I will dig out a large arena for... use.
Nobody must know the true purpose. I'll just pretend it's for any extra troops to train in.

Urist McHuman just made a masterwork human bone crossbow. Screw ethics, that's awesome. Then Zuglar gave birth (Conan has another son). Other than that, all that's really happening is hauling of armor to be melted down.

Goblin ambush. Followed by something a little strange.

And more ambushes. And more. And more. So many... Our recent diagnoser had her guts shot, and is vomitting everywhere. More are coming. I can tell. NRDL then went outside to meet the forgotten beast, who is currently chasing him around the cavern. Urist McHuman has been sent to kill the creature, who is attempting to knock down our doors.
No... No... NO! Jaxy had gone out to reload a cage trap, and the slug was there waiting for him. It tore off his left leg, shock and blood loss did the rest... Jaxy will be remembered. Kol, the new recruit with a steel longsword will be sent to kill the beast, since Urist McHuman chose the perfect time to be asleep. It then attacked Dsarker. ALL SOLDIERS TO CAVERN LEVEL ONE! NOW!
Next to die was Dsarker's youngest Baby, while Dsarker herself was lying on the ground unconscious. And then Erith the engraver had also lost her left leg. I never liked her, but did she deserve to die?

First to fight the beast was Quintijn, who had rushed down ahead of everyone else. he had stalled it by dodging back and forth until reinforcements arrived. Next came Kol, who was unable to even touch the creature due to lack of skill. Also came Adil, our newest yet good axedwarf, who had greatly injured the slug's scales, but inflicted no mortal wounds. The fight ended before the elite soldiers came: Quintijn scratched the thing, instantly killing it. A somewhat anticlimactic ending, but at least it's over. Or not.

Sapphire man siege. When will the death end... My squad takes care of this one. Macemen as well. We'll kill them all.

Meanwhile, NRDL somehow dodges past the thing. I guess legendary miners who mine forever do have a huge advantage over all other civilians. How'd Dsarker drop her meatshield?

Dodging... Dodging... Dodging... When will their marksmen run out of ammunition? I'm charging so their horses get confused and run off, but they still shoot. Ah good, cut off a horse's leg. That maceman is dead now- WAIT, RUBY MEN WERE HIDING BEHIND HIM? SERIOUSLY? Ah here are Katana and Ifeno. They're cutting up the ruby men, and are moving on to the mounted archers.

The metal the ruby men have is really weird. FUCK! Our diagnoser is dead. BrickT too. Vucar the planter looks pretty hurt as well. In my fit of rage I randomly named my sword. I'm not even going to share that name unless I'm forced to.

I hate them all. I really do. Sometimes I envy those recruits with their shining new weapons, not yet covered in blood.

The military is meant to protect people, not let them die... This is so stupid! Not even the mountainhomes have come to help us now! I guess it's true, can't trust anyone. Kadol, Legendary door maker, just threw a tantrum over BrickT's death... Cheveux isn't so happy about this or his baby's death either. Firelordsky then decided to have a break instead of helping the wounded. I hope Dzha is decent at diagnosis.
Meanwhile, I'm asking a very unhappy Cheveux to examine the ruby men's strange equipment. He told me to shut up and go away, how he'd sentence me to 44444444444444444444 years if I didn't. Kinda strange for him, acting like a noble... It looks like these are the remaining founders:

NRDL also chose to throw a tantrum, luckily far away from absolutely everyone else. Then Libash was killed by the legendary door maker. WHY CAN'T SHE JUST FREAKING DIE. NO, SHE HAS TO RUIN EVERYONE ELSE'S LIVES. Libash had so much potential as an axedwarf... And was a great bone carver. What was our door maker? Some stupid wood lover who happened to go fey. From now on I'm going to be sheriff around here. That means punishment for those who have injured others.

I'll serve my prison sentence when my work is done. NRDL just killed a glassmaker in a fit of rage... They were friends. Perfect time for our old friend the water blob to resurface. Killed one of Conan's children before I got to it. Oh and the engraver. And planter. And... fish dissector? And for some reason, bears and other creatures are being struck down by our tantruming dwarves. Why weren't they this strong when the siegers attacked?

OOC: Woo, finally a tantrum spiral. I hope Cheveux doesn't go mad, I want him to get a mood. Still kinda annoying that Dsarker is dead, I needed a lot of armor made.

Mistem, metalcrafter, is miserable but unlike the others, is remaining calm. A stonecrafter tried to kill Quintijn, but obviously failed. Libash only died because she was asleep...

Wow you only get that trait after witnessing a lot of death and not going insane.  But still, don't you think it would be nice having an asylum?  That way, if you suspect someone to be going insane, just force them to stay there and pray for the best.

I still wish my guy would fight and not die.  Is he really in the military, or is he just imagining it in his head?
