@ztyler: you're married to the other axedwarf in the military (not Conan), and have a son.
@jaxaleone: already on it.
@nrdl: You're a high master miner, proficient in all social, and expert mason. Almost never sick, high stats, but slow to heal.
Anyway, my update #3 wasn't posted for some reason (weird connection issues and having to leave quickly may have something to do with it) and I finally have enough time to update now. Nothing important happened really, we just bought stuff from the caravan, Dsarker became main armorer, and that's it. Ifeno, I've increased the pop cap by 5 so we can get a migrant for your dwarf.

It was like butter! Except colder. And the "butter" was heavier. And wait, what's butter anyway?Conan now has a son. Not much else has happened really. There was an ambush (gremlins), quickly dealt with. I was just thinking, what if we dismembered enemies, would I be "morally" (more like "legally") allowed to carve the bones? There were some flesh blob issues, although nobody was injured. The engraver was just scared of them. Then suddenly, kumil screamed snatcher. At first, we thought it was just a goblin. Then we noticed.
Is that thing even alive? Jaxy, now experienced in all fields of engineering apart from pump operating, told us it wasn't. It looked like someone, or
something had created this "creature" with a mechanism. The same mechanisms we use to make traps, levers, wells, all that stuff. After death (destruction?), the creature collapsed into the mechanics it was made from.
Well, it looks like it was made out of ryl. We could melt this down... But as any other snatcher, they work in groups. As requested by the weaver, we will build a loom so spider webs could be gathered (?). Suddenly, an ambush of... two heads.. Ettin? Yeah, ettin. Wait, ettin aren't meant to form groups. Or have weapons. They're too busy arguing with the other head for that. Right? Avocado told Kumil to run back and protect their son. While annoyed with this, she realized it was the right thing to do. And ran. The wrong way. Dropping her equipment as well. At least there wasn't another ambush waiting.
These things are ettin, that's for sure. But they act so different from the ones in stories. Plus, these things were pretty good at fighting, not clumsy, pathetic creatures.

Yay, another year! Random fact:
We have 1313 units of grimy liquid, out of our 1938 alcohol stocks. I thought I'd be able to get away from the stuff by making a new settlement...
More importantly, Dsarker has given birth to a boy. I've noticed that she's created many exceptional works, but no masterpieces yet. Right when I say that.
It's a gryl breastplate by the way.
Katana!What.
A snow storm has come!Tell me something I don't know. It just occurred to me that some of us may die. Therefore I am going to create a large graveyard should anything unfortunate happen. Like that chain of tantrum-related deaths back in the mountainhomes, it killed 115 of us.

Kobold thief. I think you can guess what happened. As much as I hate to use sub-par equipment, I really think we need some sort of protection against enemies beyond our dodging and blocking. So, one ryl chain robe for each of us. Then, migrants!
1: Sodel, tanner (female)
Just another migrant.
2: Ilral, siege operator (female)
A high master siege operator. Interesting, but not so useful since we have Jaxy.
3: Ifeno, swordsdwarf (male)
Wanted to be in the military, so I gave him a sword. Maybe he'll be a captain some day.
4: Edzul, engraver (male)
He works with stone, and can continue doing that.
5: Sarvesh, consoler (female)
Is consoler even a job? You can be a speardwarf in the training squad of the military or something. The our trader starts acting strangely. Apparently like how I acted when I was making that animal trap. The guy took a piece of tower cap and got to work. I think he'll make a bucket. He likes buckets. Instead, he creates a door. Well, doors are nice. Especially wooden ones. We could always use more bait.

The elves arrived. Plus... Sapphire men? The elves brought us what I wanted, but screw them anyway. Kill them all!
Oh and the sapphire men. They brought some pretty valuable, metal, "aoryl", they called it. It was amazing how they seemed to be swimming in the stuff. The hammerman even brought a hammer made of the stuff "as a joke". As a joke? They say it's one of the sharpest metals in the world. Well, let's test this. Picked up one of the bolts and tried scratching a bar of atyl. It was like butter! Except colder. And the "butter" was heavier. And wait, what's butter anyway?
Before leaving, they warned us about their brothers. Whatever that means. Oh and some "master thieves" were mutilated. The sapphire men gave us their aoryl equipment, they brought it as a joke, who uses super light bolts and hammers anyway? Anyway, Cheveux, make me a sword out of this. If you fail. I will kill you.
I hope he doesn't realize I'm not serious. Anyway, yeah, he loves longswords so we got a masterpiece. This'll be my sword...
Anyway, our metalcrafter now also wants to try combat experience. To get better at precisely whacking stuff. Or something. Ah well. She'll have to wait, Ifeno is still whacking that thing. There was then an ambush of goblin crossbowmen. Ah it was hilarious how far their limbs went flying. And the blood...
Another ambush, and I realized that G was injured slightly by the goblins. Just a skin wound, no worries.
