My first reaction is to yell "YOUR TREE FARM DESIGN WAS INEFFICIENT".

Wow, those numerous spike traps are very expensive. I'm trying to get enough stuff to buy the rest while they're still here. In other news, catapult training areas are being set up. In the end, we didn't have enough money for all the numerous spikes. We need more cooks.

Uh yeah, so here comes the dwarven caravan. And what's most likely going to be around 4 ambush parties. I'm requesting steel, iron, and all those weapons-grade metals along with anvils and lye for soap. We have too many useless metals. We need MORE STEEL, MORE WEAPONS, MORE TRAPS, MORE DEATH! It's sad to say that the humans are more valuable to me when it comes to trading. They have atyl, and they have numerous spike traps...
I've just noticed how valuable tank spider silk cloth crafts are, I had forgotten we have a legendary clothier in the fortress. I'm going to set up a mechanism that tricks tank spiders into shooting webs at a restrained enemy, and we can collect those webs

And as expected, the ambush. They tried to kill me, funnily. Then they started falling over and vomiting, before I even got there. Oh right, I put a marksman tower RIGHT NEXT to where they tried to ambush us! I've now killed 69 goblins. Urvad has killed 36. Hal of our recruits haven't even seen a goblin up close. More ambushes! This time on the undefended side. RUN BIM RUN! (Bim the mechanic/broker was setting up cage traps and was the one who got ambushed this time). Luckily, Bim was not injured. The outpost liasion wants to elevate our fortress! Woo! Dsarker obviously recommended herself, I don't see anything wrong with that choice.

Our bone doctor just started acting all weird and secretive. We're lucky there are no patients in the hospital. Dsarker is now a baron, probably pretty happy she doesn't have to treat patients anymore. Bim the broker is now the chief medical dwarf, while our (currently secretive) bone doctor is going to do the actual treating. And Conan gives birth to a boy, how nice. "G" now has another child I guess. Tosid also gave birth again, Cheveux has another child! Now they have 3 children.
