Well, last month was fairly uneventful, apart from our strange influx of giant animal bones. So, we now have migrants.

1: Tulon: A fish dissector/dyer (male)
2: Lokum: A cheese maker/fish cleaner (male)
3: Bim: A dyer, glassmaker and diagnostician (female)
4: Tholtig: A consoler (female)
5: A stray goat kid
6: A stray blue peachick
7: Goden: A high master(?!) tanner, a novice armorsmith, and accomplished wound dresser (male)
8: Urvad: axedwarf, military skills (female)

Well here's what I have to say about these migrants: WHAT THE F*** WERE YOU THINKING? WE HAVE NO FISHERMEN. WE HAVE NO SAND. AND WE HAVE NO CLOTH. WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO MOVE HERE? Tholtig then tried to calm me down. It worked, so at least one of them can do something right.
So, let's see what we can do. Tulon, you're also going to be processing plants, at least you get contact with the stuff you like dying. Bim, you can remain a dyer, I suppose, you're better than Tulon I guess. Lokum, you like cheese right? Then you'll be our cook. Uh tholtig. I guess you'll be weaving. Um goden, do the tanning you seem to be good at, and help out at the hospital if ever needed. And urvad, you'll be military commander. I don't like being leader, high positions are fun though. I'll make you a bone axe for now.

Hm, looks like our chief medic, wood crafter, carpenter, and wood cutter was trapped the entire time and was unable to escape due to a workshop wall. Just break the workshop down, we don't need it right now. Anyway, let's slaughter this goat before its bones grow too much. Riiight after we butcher yet another useless horse.

While I was rushing around, I didn't realize I accidentally turned our commander's axe into a spear. Let's try again... Meanwhile she's chasing after a rhesus macaque. I decided to butcher just one tank spider baby, just to see what they're made of. Hopefully its parents don't notice.
And this time, I accidentally made our militia commander a war hammer. You know what, kel, make her a training axe.

So I finally got round to that baby tank spider. I decided to personally butcher it, so I could see for myself how it fit together. All I found was a lump of chitin... What was I expecting? They don't have bones, they don't have normal skin!
Meanwhile, NRDL, although skilled, has been unable to make a masterwork weapon rack. And she's having a break? A BREAK? Where's my weapon rack? I heard her trying to tell everyone what to do while "on break" as well. At least they ignored her... For now...

So tulon has nothing to do, the pig tails haven't grown yet (Well technically I forgot to tell them to plant for a month), so he's now going to work with masonry. He'll finish the depot, and then hopefully make me that weapon rack. And more migrants! I see a metalworker's uniform among them!

Farming, butchery, tanning, gathering, processing. Oh and milling I guess. Ustuth, you like ethyl, right? Maybe we could work together to get the metals. For now you're a mechanic. Reg, we needed a clothier, so do what you do best. And sibrek? You're our bookkeeper. And manager. Just keep the fort running smoothly.

Note: Ethy is a metal stronger than steel, found within atyl. Find one, you're probably going to find the other.

Okay, make a chair for sibrek's office (don't worry, we'll get other stuff later), and then get back to the weapon racks! I want a masterpiece!


And suddenly, our furnace operator is possessed!? Well, he's working with stone, so he's at least got some sanity left.
