I've never really understood where this "doom metal is depressing"-thing came.
I suspect it was originally conceived from someone who never actually listened to a whole doom metal song but looked at some album covers with their gravestones and cathedrals and just went from there. And then it just got repeated by other people who also never owned a doom metal record but just assumed the first guy must have known what he was talking about.

I mean yeah, there is some depressing stuff, usually near the border to the gothic metal genre, but the majority of the genre and the "typical" bands aren't really. Candlemass and Pentagram aren't really any less uplifting then your stereotypical death or black metal band, aren't they?

But yeah, not all doom metal is depressing and whatnot, more brooding/heavy.

P.S. Elves should be Folk/Pagan metal. I imagine them holding rituals out in the woods and playing flutes along with their electric guitars.


This mod would not be complete without some sort of megabeast representative of each genre (i.e. A flying Varg Vikernes for black metal).

This mod would not be complete without some sort of megabeast representative of each genre (i.e. A flying Varg Vikernes for black metal).

Giant Johan Hegg with a battleaxe beard for folk/viking metal.
Corpsegrinder to represent death metal. I have no idea on how to change him up.


This mod sounds awesome already. One thing: Make everything human-sized.
It'll give some of that otherwise useless gear a purpose, and it'd be nice to be able to claim certain pieces of you foes' kit as a usable trophy.

Deathmetal Heads using acoustic guitars? UNTHINKABLE.

EDIT: I'm suggesting that all guitars double as ranged weapons that use an ammo called "Pick". When used at range, the "Pick" ammo is sub'd with the word "Soundwaves" or "Riffs" or something.

This is awesome... i want to get this mod as soon as it gets out :D
Also, i think this mod should have more mythical megabeasts based on norse mithology, what do you think?
Oh, and weapon ideas: Chains/spiked chains, razor blades for emo goblins and flutes for hippies elves (yeah, as a weapon :D)
Last thing: Justin Bieber megabeast (beware her terrifying voice!)

I doubt it will work, since fired ammo appears as strike on the log. Savaging and riffing will appear if the ammo is used to melee, not the weapon.
