Alright. I'd like to try doing you all together - It should keep things from getting too fragmented. I may end up switching back if it doesn't work, but I'd at least like to give it a try. So after Sheb and Toaster have posted, I'll post the results. In the meantime, Gaius and Taric have met up, so you can role-play that if you like.

Hastur, you need to post a notable character, and make sure you're happy with what you're bringing with you.

Oops!  Missed my turn post.

No RP when PFP.

Builders build out the fields into farms.
Farmers farm.
Miners mine.
Everyone else gets wood.

Also, is there a required number of farmers to work a field/farm?  (Like mine?)

4 ax
4shovel
4 bow
8 sheep
8dogs
4 horses
4 sleds, they are not sleighs! 4 travois
80 food
4 laborers builders
4 laborers crafters
8 laborers gatherers
4 laborers military
5 laborers
1 Orlaag
1 barrel of beer

Orlaag backround
Orlaag people were a proud people, too proud, and too brave. They died by the thousands, too stubborn to listen to reason. But some were willing to listen, and they fled instead, taking whatever and following the other refugees through the mountain pass. Some would call Dominics flight cowardice or treason, but they are all dead now. Now his followers look up to him to do what it takes to find peace. With his group of followers who were wise enough not to die for the stubborn old ways and their ancestral homeland, these freethinkers could still be molded to dwell less on what they have lost and more on the opportunity ahead, free of hierarchy, serfdom, and such and such.

Depends what your doing with it. I put in a section on farming in the first post, you may want to read it.

Hastur: That's good, but you might want to write some about your character? There's a section in the first post about Notable Characters you may want to refer to.

Oh, and I forgot to upload Sheb's updated map.

Hmm... Looks like I should stick with plain fields for now. Let me amend my turn to have farmers plant grain and the builders help get wood this month.

Mmmk. You will probably want some food storage eventually.

Take note, this is my first time running a forum game, and as such I'm not very good at it yet.

Also I'm not very good with people, so if i seem to be rude, it's probably accidental.

"Taric? Did you serve under Romus Julius? I remeber helping him get his post as a Tribun, and he mentioned somebody by your name... Anyway, it's good to see more civilized men in those barbarians lands. You're more than welcome to stay with us, as none of my men is trained in the arts of war and there must be a lot of frightening beast in those woods. Here, take some wine for you and your men. (-5 Amphore of Fine Wine to Taricus)

Now, if you'll excuse me, those damn laborers didn't realize that ploughed fields need to be sown. I'll be back shortly."

Well done lads. The lands of those hills look even better once it's been ploughed. Look at that black earth!
I want 14 of you to sow the fields with wheat and lentils, two at a field. Now, it is time to start building lodging and a granary, for I am sure we'll soon be swimming in grain. So the seven of you that aren't farming will come will go to the forest to gather some wood. Julius will supervize all of you, he noticed some great timber.

"Now, Taric, how about settling down under this here tree with a cup of wine while Brutus cook us something? He's the most wonderful cook I've ever seen, short of the Imperial Kitchen themselves."

"Yes, Nice fellow. Shame he got killed when the invaders came. Heard he was in the capital city when the barbarians came."

"I'll trust your word on his skills. I should get the lads packing up the camp and moving over here for your safety sir, Shame I lost my legionnaires going through the mountain pass, Only have recruits and engineers now."

Alright! Here we go...

Taric:
Your wood cutters bring back a decent haul, more than enough for the builders to expand your watchtower into an archer-post and start work on an earthworks. Your foragers finally have some luck, coming back with a nice load of greens. Your hunters have a tougher time, bringing back only a few kills.

Gaius:
The Farmers work fast and hard and thorough, but they only manage to get six fields planted, three with wheat and six with lentils. The gatherers sent to the fields accomplish a great deal as well, bringing back several choice trees.

Sillus:
Your miners continue to clear away surface stone. The farmers labor for days planting grain, only for it to come to naught- the grain refuses to take to this barren soil. The woodcutting, at least, goes well - the land continues to surprise you with it's lumber.

Was that a bad roll or is farming grain no-go here?

That was a bad roll. Farming is difficult there, but possible.

We already got someone doing that, we need herders and craftsmen though.
