Man, what if they are the type of zombies that spread by airborn plauge? You guys have no defence against that sort of zombie threat! YOU CAN NEVER BE TOO SAFE!!!

Actually, if you were in the appropriate position in the army it would be a funny joke to pass these out to your men.

Wait until you're on a week-long field exercise, then when you're three days in, sombrely hand out the guides.

That might get you court marshalled for.....spreading fear to your troops, or somthing. I don't know for sure, perhaps forum-local US Millitary experts Nikov and Strife will be able to confirm/deny.

A huge pat on the back and free drinks for several years, provided that you didn't take it too far. The shop on the cover isn't quite right. Still, more than worth my time to read through this and see how accurate they are. I did a lot and a half of drill training with a golf club (I've named my favorite "Five Iron") this last week.

Gas Masks?  Apparently the L4D universe's infection is airborne...

Confirmed. Check out "The Passing" comic online if you haven't already. The protagonists of both games are all immune. Highlighted by this hilarious line from Coach in the final chapter of L4D2, to paraphrase:

Radio: "Have you had contact with the infected?"
Coach "Uh, you could say that."
Radio: "Negative, are you immune?"
Coach: "Son, we are just about covered in zombie guts, zombie brains and zombie eyeballs, we are immune as shit!"

Eh, the immune are still carriers and will infect the non-immune too if I remember correctly.
