Wow, what is going on in #6?  It looks like a huge train rotator thing out of black mesa or something.  :)

Also, the warning posters at #55 are awesome.

That site just kept crapping out, even after using task manager to kill the browser process(closing the other two pages I had open), it still kept itself open.

Also, i will look for more places, but you should all contribute if you can :)

EDIT: I just remembered this:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mir_mine

Russian big-ass pit mine, so big and deep that helicopters cant fly over it

EDIT2: This one is bigger, but not as spectacular because it doesn't look like if someone had divided by zero: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bingham_Canyon_Mine

The Underground City Of Derinkuyu

Reason: A multistory underground city capable of holding 10000 people. Used to defend against invasion by sealing the entrances. A 8km long underground tunnel connects this and another underground city. They even have "mess rooms" and a bar.

The Swedish mining city of Kiruna, where they mined to deep (or at least in an unfortunate direction ;)) and to greedily and struck... Their own town. Seriously, now they hape to move parts of the city because they're about to collapse into the mine. Great job, people. Make sure you don't wall yourselves in when you build those new houses, will ya?

You know how dwarves aren't really hard workers and it takes forever for them to get anything done because they're always getting interrupted by something?

Very impressive. I don't have anything that can beat that. But I can try.
