After a year or so of exploiting the market, attack the border province the turn AFTER Ander attacks someone else (so their gem is inactive).

Oh, and there should be a way to get more vassals.  They rule provinces better than having your Liege rule everything, but appointing them does not take control of the province from the player.

As you currently only have your liege, you really need more people.

See if an alliance with the powers to the south of Lyle will work. If we can hold onto even one extra province, we'll be doing better than the "historical" result

I'm going to exploit the market till the next September.

Prices are high, so I'll spend most of my moolah on food.

I tried allying with Molbrew, but failed.



While waiting for the prices to go down, I continued my cultivation work, and a little plundering in between (Which didn't work).


Lyle is getting eaten up.

Did I mention that Coryll was destroyed by the Lankshire family? That means Lankshire has now 2 gems, and even though their second gem is shitty, ours is shittier.

Well you see, I wanted to continue like this until September, but I need Pluvius in the current state, and whoever attacks and succeeds in conquering their last province gets the gem.
However, they have 2 provinces left, if Province 2 gets conquered, I would try conquering 7 to get the gem. But if Province 7 gets conquered, I have to rush my way into Province 7 THEN get Province 2 in time, a risky thing to do.

Suggestions?

You can't make coalitions, as you can only ally 1 family at a time. Also, alliances are just weak ceasefire treaties.

That makes this game rather simple for a KOEI strategy game. In that case, seconding the plan to make a fast grab for Lyle's gem.
