Dwarves Riding animals

Hello Everyone,

First post on this so don't kill me or anything.

Just wondering if it was possible for my military dwarves to sit on animals and ride them forth into battle. It'd Be nice to have an Air wing with some Dwarves riding Giant Eagles.

Nope, not currently or in next few versions, as far as I know. Invader mounts are generated off-map from nothing.

Upcoming content release #7 includes "Mounted combat rewrite," so possibly that one (which, at the current rate, means maybe a year?).

Does anybody know the chance of invaders having mounts? I have yet to see any.  :(

It's fairly random for me, I suspect it depends on the invader's homeland biomes and creatures available there. As well as random chance of them showing up with something. More likely than not, they won't pop up with mounts, I've had invaders that never had trolls show up, and another world where everyone rode in ( which makes for funny result with swimming mounts  :D )

do you use very 'young' world? (<200 years)
I've seen people taming animals in caverns in legends mode so that might be required before it is possible for people to ride/tame creatures.
