Something is definately involved with that machine in the background of the photo and the current state of the world. Not sure what though...

And the whole team of PCs goes to watch an NPC cutscene rather than explore a big, possibly not-empty manor. Astounding.  Well, more power to the non-looting people. ^_^

Now that begs the question, will they try and loot now that you said that?

I would have preferred someone to stay up and look around...

I think we all suddenly decided that, hey, he seems to be a quest hook. Also I feel he can be reasonably trusted in that he can't do anything to us at this point that he wouldn't have already been able to do. I was cautious of the drinks because thats one poison save failure away from a failing grade at the school of hard knocks. You should have seen what I had planned for if I had a room and we where planning to stay the night. Anyway don't split the party is practically the law when it comes to adventuring. I would rather face a basement full of psychic mutant pokemon with everyone rather then be stuck upstairs and having to depend on only my own dice rolls. If I am alone it only takes a string of bad luck for me to die but at least with others around their own luck can counteract it.

I also dout that the butler would let us loot the place for whatever we wanted. Plus, I have a feeling the more interesting/useful stuff is down below...

Götterdämmerung, somebody help me focus. This next bit is talky and expositiony and I'm losing traction again.

So I'm considering stealing your rolling rules for a future RTD I might do (here's the roller's block post) and I just want to clarify one thing.

Is the dice size for a roll equal to skill+attribute or is it the higher of the two?

Whichever you want. For skills, you can apply either - it usually depends on the skill. Some skills roll for successful use, upon which they increase the stat used for the action. Some may just straight add their value to the stat value. Some may simply roll their own value. Whichever seems to make most sense, you use it. :P

Holy hrap the text is at seventeen hundred words and what the thuck am I doing writing a fanfic chapter for an RTD update?

Seriously. Wait a bit people, I'm half done. Or actually, I might just wrap it up a little and let you act a bit before getting to the second half. I'll see what I come up with in the morning. In the meantime, sleep.

And someone's in the waiting list. :P

And, update, finally!

Sorry for the delay, and have a quick picture as compensation. ^_^

Also, if I ever decide to go into an extended talky exposition sequence again, somebody smack me. -_-

I noticed that I took most of the proactive actions and directions in the beginning.
