Black of hair, burn scars on arms and face, three gunshot wounds (left leg, right shoulder, left hip), 2 knife wounds (one above right eyebrow, one on chest), carries around a flask of alcohol but never drinks it.

Halfling's aren't human, they're small burrowing mammals. Evidence points towards them being a (relatively) skinny, beardless subspecies of dwarves.

If I recall, We had the choice of fantasy versions of the Napoleonic Wars, American Civil War, WW1 or WW2.

Napoleonic Wars only made the list because of Halfling Napoleon.

Actually it was a funny coincidence. I drew up a map of Europe before I started this game, (and praying that I wouldn't offend any European bay12ers) I then assigned a fantasy race to every European Nation. I just happened to give the Halflings to Italy. Then when I was deciding what era's to let the players pick from it dawned on me that Napoleon was Italian... So I added the Napoleonic wars to the list of options for the lulz.
