Don't forget to sabotage their work to the best of your ability too, all the kobolds back home would owe you one if you did

Closer inspection reveals a hefty Gnomish toolboxe, and a slightly smaller one, both made of red painted steel, both are closed-and both are too heavy and bulky for you to carry.

Tak'mir squeaks through the gap between two planks without a sound, and lands silently on his feet. Grabbing his spear, he creeps toward the Giant Mole...but as he is about to lunge, the creature begins to wake up! Still half asleep, it begins to sniff the air for him...

Taking the intiative, the Kobold leaps and drives his spear into the creatures throat, making a bloody mess of things. The Giant Mole twitches a few times, blood pouring from it's wounds, and is stilled.

Tak'mir needs to move fast now-the only thing Giant Moles hate more than the scent of a Kobold is the smell of someone who killed another Giant Mole.

He opens the first toolbox and finds a few useful tools, and the other one is actually a lunchbox. He finds stuff to eat, and a pretty little kitchen knife.

Got Bag of Nails
Got Gnomish Hammer
Got Duct tape
Got Chicken Sandwich
Got Thermos full of coffee
Got Hunk of Cheese
Got Fancy Knife


To finish, he begins taking apart the whole works from the ground up, using his hammer to remove the nails, then tossing the boards and chains into the nearby sewer water. Such an act of sneaky, underhanded guerilla warfare probably set them back at least a day or two.

Just as he's done congratulating himself, he begins to hear footsteps and voices approaching. Gnomes!

The Kobold takes off running-he reaches an alcove and ducks in, listening to squeaking Gnomish voices begin to shout.

-They killed my Oromey! I bet it was them gadsblasted Kobolds again's!
-He stole my lunch! I'll pulverize em when I find that little rat! You, go get the guards!
-Sure thing, boss!

He peeks out of the alcove and watches a short Gnome running back the way they came. The remaining two Gnomes split up, one coming down to where he is now, the other moving off in the opposite direction. Both Gnomes are carrying big, heavy mallets. For Gnomes anyway.

Tak'mir sneaks out and keeps running, and comes up on a four way intersection. He's pretty sure the way out is to the left...or was it the right? He was in a hurry to escape last night, and now everything seems the same!

He knows the Gnome Soldiers are drilled to be able to clear out the entire sewer in about an hour. Lucky he has a watch now-55 minutes left.

-Choices-
Left (Toward the sound of quietly running water)
Right (It's dark over there-the overhead lights are out. Which is weird, since they're magic.)
Forward (He knows that's the wrong way-it leads right into the underground river this place feeds into.)
Back (He'll have to dodge the Gnome just to end up back where he started...)

Tak'mir isn't afraid of the dark-he can see fairly well in it, actually-but he is afraid of what's *in* the dark. So he goes left!

Lucky for him, he spots the one the first "landmark" pretty quickly, an iron bar on the ground bent into an "L" shape. He takes another left, then passes two junctions, until he finally comes to where he's sure the secret entrance is. It's actually a fairly interesting thing-the Kobolds tunneled in from below, using wrought iron to confuse the senses of Gnomish Geomancers-they built a door that can be opened from either side, if you know where to look. While craftskoboldship cannot equal the Gnomes in any way, they can, on the other hand, create a perfect copy of one of the walls of their sewer.

Tak'mir is searching for the hidden brick that opens the hidden door, when he hears a Gnomish patrol coming round the corner. They're not even trying to be stealthy-in fact, they seem to be drunkenly singing loudly about the horrible things they are going to do to you when they catch you.

Yipes! You could try to rush and open this door real fast, but you might be in trouble if they actually find the secret entrance, even if you escape. It took the tribe a few years to make this, after all. You'd have to collapse the shaft and...Kweed'rik'tik would be very mad.

Otherwise, you could try to hide around a corner... or even see how long you can hold your breath underwater. That current looks pretty strong though-it rained last night, and all the water is being flushed down the system, probably to catch any intruders. Like YOU.

Gnomes are pretty persistant though, and the patrols will keep cycling in greater numbers till they find you or eventually give up.

Well you can't evade them forever, guess you've got to get out, hope that in thier drunken stupor they either don't notice you or forget in the morning

hide behind the corner then if there are less then three and dont have any helmets use your slingthing to start to take them out and loot the bodies

Crap - I just remembered the gnome-blight - you can do some pretty serious damage with that flush it through the whole sewer system - pipes or something, you'd have to use all 3 parts of it but if it was evacuated for a few days you would establish a good amount of kobold superiority and then return with a small group of kobolds and cause havoc

kill the gnomes here with some then dump it around in the water the gnome near by are the main threat making them melt even a little bit would help us excape

Poisoning the Gnomes water supply would be fun! You would have to find their cistern first-and it would very well guarded. This is just the sewer guys, waters going out, not in.

but i would slow down the gnomes if there feet melted but lets keep our blight for protection against the guards also
