Probably going to end up voting for Obizzi. I wasn't thrilled by his performance in the last 4, but he's proven himself a centrist by democrat standards. I figure we've given other presidents two terms to completely trash our economy, he should get his two to try and fix it. That, and I'm interested to see what kind of 2nd termer he turns out to be. He spent far too much energy in his first term courting voters and the media, to the point that seeing the President on whatever talk show last night started to seriously piss me off, as the million and a half fluff news articles on what his wife wears or what he likes for dessert still do.
Most presidents buckle down on their agendas if they get a second term, and since the economy is the #1 priority in America right now, I'd hope he can put most if not all his energy into repairing that and not trying to be liked. Tell the reporters to go the fuck home and do a real story, he's got work to do.
That is, as long it doesn't rely on hair-brained shit like a high-speed rail plan to create jobs.
Newt gingrich and Ron Paul are the two most likely, I believe.
That's not what I'm hearing. Ron Paul always looks good in the polls and pre-primary time, but he never delivers. People like what he has to say, but no one is willing to take the risk. This is the 3rd? time he's thrown his hat into the ring.
Newt is just falling further out of favor with the GOP. His whole affair is really dragging him down with the average voter I think, and he's opting to dive even deeper into the "Obama European Socialist" rhetoric. I think the Tea Party kind of poisoned the effectiveness of some of that rhetoric.
Romney and Pawlenty are the two that seem to be getting the most favorable press. Palin, Bachmann and Cain all seem like side show attractions.
