This place doesn't like broad discussion topics. At all.
Remind me to never go on that forum.
I'm going on there right now out of spite. Wish me luck.

Perfect timing! Just watched sucker punch.
Rating: Fucking awesome.
Awesome action shots.
Awesome sound track.
Better than awesome cast.
The only thing about this movie was that I walked away from it feeling insulted, not because it was bad in any way, but because the entire thing has a common theme of 'Girls are good, boys are bad', about it, and that is a good thing giving an interesting perspective to it, and if anything I like the film more for going in that direction rather than just being all eye candy for the men, but It can get a little uncomfortable at times when your gender is dehumanised to the level of zombies, robots and orks.

Wow. So much rage for so little reason.

ON-TOPIC: Since someone's going to do it eventually, Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Most random piece of hilarious tomfoolery I've ever seen.

Welp. I supposed it's good to see that the BL forums are as horrible as they were several years ago.

And now looking at this, I can tell that a lot of the common forumites are actually younger than me...
What the hell is this, looking at how even I'm the youngest commoner here.

Well, you aren't most, or a major forumite, really, though you are common I guess.
I didn't think you fell below my age though.

Now that I read over it a couple more times, it actually makes sense. Disregard what I said earlier.

Also, I am. 3 months and it's my birthday.

Splice was good, go watch it. Pretty accurate portrayal of geeks too... Although predictable, very predictable. About half way through the movie I had already guessed each and every plot point.

Huh, haven't even seen in advertised anywhere.

What I want to see is Sucker Punch, though if it's a DURR DURR MEN SUCK movie like someone said, I'm not too sure =/

Well, all of the main characters are females. IIRC, all of the antagonists are men, so maybe.

Yes, it was very 'durr dur men suck' as you put it, portraying all protagonists as female and all antagonists as male, and the all female vocals soundtrack didn't help the case, but take it from me, being a guy after all, it adds to the movie.
The entire film is from the perspective of a girl who has clearly been abused by her father for years, and not had much other male contact. Anything other than letting that bias shine through in the film would be an insult to our intellects. They don't say men suck because the director thinks men suck, they say it because the protagonist thinks men suck, and that makes it interesting, if you ask me.
