Send the spearman to gather 5 javelin Cavalry, 5 Normal Cavalry, and 8 more axe dwarves. Order the troops on the left flank to close in and apply heavy pressure to the goblins, and send the two remaining soldiers who had not yet experienced combat to aid the right flank (the last crossbow dwarf, and the purple guys thats not you. If the axedwarves in the middle begin to waver charge forward, and aid them in the holding of the gap, and once the cavalry arrive order them to help flank the right side, adn order the speardwarves directly down the center.

Reinforce center as this is our greatest weakness, the rptroll will attack here have the marks men target the the troll and bring up reinforcements

Ya leave the marksdwarf where he is, and just send the other guy our main character will fortify the center personally with his awesomeness (The right flank is important if they break through we all dead.)

This is a cool little game, skipped reading most of it tho
You can't do that the text is very important as it keeps track of number killed, and any items gained or lost

(OOC note: I'm going to make it clear now that I was refering to the left and right flank from Stegeth's point of view, so it may be a bit confusing for the readers, because their left is Stegeth's right (vice versa). From now on, I shall refer to them as Eastern flank, and Western flank.)

You grab the remaining spear dwarf and yell at him to gather reinforcements. The dwarf salutes and runs off.

 You bellow at the western flankers to close in on the enemy. You call out to the marksdwarf in front of you to attempt to take out the troll.



The speardwarves lower their shields and advance steadily. The marksdwarves begin to aim at the troll within the mass of goblins, each firing a aimed shot.


The two bolts fly through the masses... (OOC: The two lines on the bottom right)

One hits the goblin holding the chain in the arm, tearing through the shield. The other hits the troll through the right wrist, sending a spray of cyan blood spraying. The trolls lets loose a bellow, grabs the injured goblin and chucks a speedball at the offending marksdwarves.

It sails through the air, past the heads of the goblins.



And crashes into a marksdwarf.


 The goblin explodes into gore...


... and the marksdwarf flies a few feet back, then tumbles into the ground, unconscious.


You turn to first lieutenant Bomrek and tell him to press against the ambushed eastern flank (your right flank, Stegeth's left flank). He hefts his war hammer over his shoulder and nods, and moves to the eastern flank. The situation there has worsened.



The lasher that has thrown the dagger snaps his whip at the kneeling marksdwarf, cutting through the throat. The marksdwarf falls face first into the snowy grass.


 The other lasher's mount performs a coup de grace upon the webbed marksdwarf by ripping his arm off and silencing his scream by curb stomping his head with a front leg.


 The first lieutenant arrives right after. The goblin snaps his whip, which the lieutenant blocks. He smashes his hammer at the goblin's leg while dodging a snap by the spider. The goblin groans and falls off, and has his skull caved in by a hammer blow. Bomrek faces off the spider.

 However, you see one of the spear dwarf pounced and attacked by two of the goblin lashers, of whom he stands no chance against. He is quickly brought down. A group of goblins break from the center and charge the remaining spear dwarf from behind.

 You briefly consider charging into the center, but realize the risk of the troll, as well as the reinforcements arriving without anyone commanding them is too great. After all, the center is held by sturdy axedwarves, who are more than able to hold their own.

Orde Bomrek, and the remaining speardwarf on the east flank to pull back, and hold the gap in our defences against the enemy. Otherwise keep the strategy as  is, and keep the pressure on them

Just to remind you, the defenses are merely sharpened stakes (abatis) that will stop cavalry. The goblin infantry will be slowed a little by it (a risk they are not willing to take with the axe dwarves in the center). A troll (which is cavalry) will be stopped until he rips the stakes out.

I know I just need to hold them off until the cavalry arrive then we will be set for victory, but until then I need to rely on the stakes, and my men to hold them back. Also are we going to be staying at this base for awhile?

 No, the base was really only for the organization and we'll leave at first light. When the camp was finished put up, it wasn't even dusk! The priority at the moment is to get back to the mountainhomes with the remnants of the host.

No, the base was really only for the organization and we'll leave at first light. When the camp was finished put up, it wasn't even dusk! The priority at the moment is to get back to the mountainhomes with the remnants of the host.
I am looking forward to a siege battle (Defending of course) at the Mountainhomes since that would be awesome.

EDIT: Also next turn can you give us a full view of the skirmish so I can tell who is hurt, who is alive, and how many of these  crackers are crwaling out of the holes near the camp.
