man, i really want to play it, but it gives me an error :/ something about pixel acceleration, then says refer to starefarer.log for more details, yet said log does not exist

Starfarer.log should exist in your starfarer/starfarer-core/. directory (on windows) - can't speak too confidently about Linux or Mac though.

You might consider logging a bug report on the forum?

Seen that one before - was resolved by upgrading video drivers to the latest.

My drivers are the latest they can go, but my machine is old enough that it doesn't support open GL, i belive that's probs the cause.

Ahh... I'm pretty sure your machine has support for OpenGL (that's been around since shortly after Quake 1, I think) but sounds like not all the GL features SF needs (which isn't much, but still). Ah, well, not much I can do here - sorry for the disappointment!
