Asno: Wait for the two Ogres to get close together and drop Earth's Fury on them. Might as well see what it dose.

Then...

More arrows, more bombs.

(use the black powder ones if we're running out of shrapnel ones - distribute them, and aim for the face).

Agree with earth fury. Let's try it.

Just keep tossing in grenades/bombs and arrows at them also it's great having more updates and I'd say not to clear the corpses in an actual battle it would be messy and confusing also it reminds me of a battle in dwarf fortress  :D

Maybe also a bit of earths fury  :D

You throw a powder bomb at the top ogre, cutting up and badly burning its leg. You feel as if you are better at throwing bombs. (-1 Bomb, bombing skill has increased)

Asno lowers her head in concentration with her arms spread as the ogres draw close to each other, and the ground begins to rumble. Spikes of rock shoot up from the floor, impaling the ogres, and boulders fall from the ceiling. The upper ogre is crippled as it is stabbed from below, and quickly killed as a boulder falls on its head. The lower ogre has its legs crippled and is now bleeding heavily. After the event, Asno collapses from exhaustion.

Mark and Max consider attacking the lower ogre, but it poses no threat to you now. After a few moments the fire in front of you burns itself out, and the ogre dies from blood loss.

Alright. That spell is effective but costly. Drag asno out of the cave and a little ways down the coast so we get lots of prior notice if Ogres come out to visit us.

Let her rest. See if you can whip something up with your alchemy ingredients that would invigorate her. Give her as much time as she needs and then get back to the cave.

You help Asno out of the cave and the four of you move a little down the coast. You decide to mix something to help her restore her energy, but lacking vials there isn't much you could do. You hand her your Elvish pipe and a healing herb leaf, and after smoking the plant and drinking some water she is feeling better. (-1 Healing Herb Leaf)

She explains to you that Earth's Fury is her most powerful spell, but it takes almost all of her energy to cast successfully. After resting for a little less than half an hour, the four of you enter the cave once again.

The entrance is exactly as you left it, it seems as if no more ogres have investigated the area.

well there's still two orgres in the bit with the crates I think... maybe one, set up a barbed strand quickly and try to draw the last ogres through and dispatch them, once that's done explore the rest but again have a trap deployed maybe more oil which can be easily lit as one run pasts

I'd say, put a bomb with a tripwire in the bottom of the southern corridor - that will give us a warning in addition to hurting any investigating ogres, then explore north. We may want to know how many there are there before attempting anything.

Also just a question, how severe would the consequences of someone rolling very close too one be? I mean could in retreat Max in clumsiness trigger the bomb squishynoob proposed and fire shrapnel through his heat and in the direction of others in his party for example if he rolled a 2?

If someone rolled really low, let's say less than 15, on something that could harm the group, it would harm the group. How severe is entirely situational and depends on how low the roll is.
Your example could happen, but it works both ways. If an ogre rolled a 2 when swinging his hammer in close quarters with another ogre, there's a good chance he would the other one's skull.

You head back down the southern tunnel, noticing the entangled ogre laying limp in a tangle of roots. It seems to have bled to death after you retreated. You peak in the room and see two remaining ogres, one gorging itself on the rotting corpses.

You set up a tripwire with two powder bombs hanging from it outside the room, to both alert you if the ogres leave and damage them if they do so. (-1 Tripwire, -2 Powder Bombs)

You head back to the northern tunnel and begin exploring, first heading into the topmost room. There are two Kobolds going through the boxes and crates, and when they notice you they hold their spears upright in an attempt to look menacing. It is obvious that they are both terrified, as they are both trembling and have a fearful look in their eyes. You recognize them both from your previous jobs, one from the mill you raided and the other from the greenskin caravan.

“We aren't what you are here to kill!” One shouts, “If you let us leave we can tell you of the layout of the rest of the cave, and the risks you will face!”

Your job was the clear the ogres from the cave, stopping it from being looted was never part of the mission. Max says that if you bring proof of two would-be looters you could possibly get a bonus to your reward, but it isn't a sure thing. Your standing with the Kobolds right now is good, and it might not be worth risking hurting that.

[EDIT: First upload had the "hidden units" layer of the image turned on, I hope I got that fixed before anyone else noticed where all the enemies are xD]
[EDIT2: And then I forget to put the kobolds in, this qualifies for the most mess-ups in one update I think.]

Turn in members of an allied group for a small chance of an even smaller monetary gain, no - let them leave and with a wink say the humans would be none the wiser if they were to leave with a bulging loot bag each, any ally can only be a good thing, after that I suppose you should explore the rest of the cavern, also warn them about the trap if they want to loot more.

Yeah, let them go, but not with bulging bags of stuff. Sounds good to me.

You tell the Kobolds they have nothing to fear, and with a grin and a wink tell them that the people in charge of this cave would probably blame the ogres for any missing loot if they were to stuff their bags. You warn them about the southern tripwire in case they want to loot more down there, and they tell you about the layout of the cave. (Your reputation with the Kobolds has increased.)

There are crates everywhere in the big chamber of the cave, with two more ogres wandering around. There is also a hidden human-dug room that was invisible to Asno's detection, located behind a pile of crates. They say that there is a pretty big ogre living inside, bigger than the others. They think it is the chieftain of the ogres.

After they explain everything to you they run off toward the entrance of the cave, their loot bags stuffed full and with big grins on their faces.

Well thanks too how delighted the kobolds were with their loot *glances at squishynoob* we now know there's two more ogres wandering about, search for them in the large cavern and try to take them out stealthily then pursue the boss.
