Land mines would be an EXCELLENT idea. The flash bangs would also be great for rushing into melee or showering them with arrows. Which reminds me, we should get more! Buy more arrows until you have a set of 30. Also, buy yourself some alchemy gear.

When does the caravan arrive?

we should wait for the caravan they would pay well for three armed and trained guards and they will provide a safer way to travel

The caravan is scheduled to arrive within the next few days.
I still need numbers for the amount of mines, tripwires, flash bangs, and grenades. If I don't get an answer on that soon I'm just gonna roll between 1 and 10 for each thing on how many we should get.

The price should vary from town to town. It should be much cheaper to buy the stuff in a human town with a Tinkers guild than a Elven hippy retreat.

Make 6 landmines, 4 tripwires, 3 flashbangs and 4 grenades. That should be able to handle a caravan. A flashbang for each party member, a nice number of landmines spread over the road and we can set two tripwires on the road behind the caravan so if they run, they hit the tripwires, as well as two behind the mines, to take care of anyone that happens to make it past the mines.

I reckon his beard should be a bit longer, and his nose a bit bigger and rounder, to give it that gnomish charm. But still, nice one.

Battle plan  :D blue dot is mark, fan art is kilroy and max, you get the idea for goblins and caravan, yellow dots are landmines and black lines are trip wires.

I say have Max throw grenades at stuff head on - when they charge him get mark and kilroy to start firing too, then everything goes up in flames and whoever reaches them trips over  ;)

EDIT: also I think I did pretty well with the guessing I mean trapped sentinent magical bieng, do I get a mini-prize?  :P

A nice plan if not for one thing: bows. Max would get shot easily if they have even one. Hence, its a bad idea.

I reckon we should mine the road, place tripwires on either side of the road, have Mark on one side by himself, Max and us on the other, all of us in cover and in ambush positions. When they trip the mines, we throw grenades, Mark shoots and Max throws a flashbang. This will have them scared, demoralized and blinded. If they organise and rush us, the trip wires will nail them, make sure to rig them up with something explosive for maximum effect. If we can, we should also position and hide stakes on the side of the road behind the tripwires, just incase those don't stop them.

I'll go with this, your right about bows (opps  :o) but what do you mean by mine the road? I'd just place pressure sensitive explosives there and do the rest when they detonate

Pressure sensitive explosives are typically called mines. My 'mining' the road, I mean to place these explosives in a scattered formation on the road for the caravan to set off.
