That armour is what caught my eye. Have a look at that, if it's too big for anyone, we can always break it apart and make stuff from the plates if it's metal. Also, find a blade of some kind for max. He deserves it for a job well done. I honestly thought there were more orcs here, looks like they were making the kobolds do all the grunt work instead. I'm sure that the elves will pay well for this, especially for a captive (a goblin commander nonetheless!) and the plans.

Also, what do you think a orcish sawmill has that glows? Something magical no dout. What's more interesting however, how on earth did they get a sawmill so close the the elf retreat without getting turned into pincushions? Should we have a look at the plans?

Some thinking ahead: what should we do with all the money? What should we buy? Should we take the time to find more moss on the way back, or head immediately to the retreat so to give that goblin as little chance of escape as possible?

I think we should get some information on what lies beyond the forest, a pack ostrich, and hire an Elven guide to take us through the forest safely before we stay to long and make Vent force-ably remove us.

maybe if we find a dwavern town they can look at those scrolls for us and see if they've got something to do with the magic in the chest.... hmm getting a mage in our party would be awesome

I don't think every dwarf in the world wants to kill Max just in the three towns west or the forest

I bet there are mores interesting towns east of the forest that Max would be unknown in. We can ask around and find out.

You know guys... Max doesn't HAVE to go into the mountainhomes with Kilroy and Mark. He could just camp out away from the town. No senile Dwarf is going to go into the Sun anyways, except a few.

I'm now also nicknaming Kilroy Roy.

And yes, a pack ostrich sounds fine, but look for any beasts of burden around the sawmill first. Ask the kobolds some questions too.

what's beyond the forest, what do they need so much wood for, ect.

Do the same with the goblin when they get back.

E: Also ask the elves if they have an up-to-date map. Empires have been created and destroyed in mere days, what has happened over the course of 5 years?!

Whatever. I'm sure we will spend at least another day or so in the Elven settlement. So no real need to have this debate quite yet.

A lot of interesting comments to come back to :) a lot is going to happen in the rest of this update so it might take a while, and I only just got home so there's some stuff I need to do before working on it.

I'm not gonna spoil what's in the chest yet, but I'm just gonna let you know that one of you guessed something close enough for me to count as correct ;)

While I update there are a few things that need to be voted on before I make a choice:

Showing rolls: 1 vote to show them, 1 to keep them hidden.
Pack animal, besides searching the mill: 1 vote after an earlier update to get a horse, 2 to get an ostrich.

Edit: Also, some background on how the mill managed to survive so close to the settlement, it is relatively new and the Elven rangers of Changedgrove are too busy guarding the town from greenskin raids to send a party out to destroy it. And for some background on the greenskins themselves (which is assumed to be common knowledge in the game world and therefore not explained), Goblins are usually leaders of the stronger and larger Orcs, only because the Orcs recognize their much greater intelligence and leading abilities. There are, however, some purely Orcish tribes.

Another note, from now on I'm going to increase the difficulty considerably. I mean, seriously, the only substancial injury after all of your adventures so far was Max's cracked rib. And that's just not interesting enough ;)

Edit edit: So I attempted making a sprite of Kilroy to see if I could do it, and it came out pretty terrible. If anyone who knows how to sprite would like to donate your interpretation of the party members, it would be greatly appreciated.
