((First of mine. Nothing interesting. Bout to be soon though.))
You and the group decide to check out the loot. You point the place out to your captain.
“Aye, I can get you there. It’ll take two days worth of sailing. Bit tricky to get there, but  I can get you there.  I’d suggest we keep a weathered eye on the horizon.”

You tell the rest of the party  and they seem to be excited with the idea of more money. Max points out it might have a light guard.
You plan to set out tomorrow morning. Giving you some time left in Freeport.
You wander around the bazaars and notice a stack of different colored flags. Looking closely you notice that it has one from each nation painted -somewhat crudely- on some sort of cheap cloth.
You ask how much it would cost to buy one of these stacks and the shopkeep answers that it costs 2 silver for the whole stack.

What on earth could we use them for anyway? Eh, they are cheap, get them anyway. Don't forget to get some tools for repairing the ship, as well as some spare cloth for the sails.

Also, chat with max about our captain. Does he know him? Who does he work for, or has done so in the past? What is his reputation?

Make sure to see how much it costs to hire a carpenter to help repair the ship if we wreck it. Also check to see if we have life jackets!

we should use the iron plates for sumfin.... like armor  for important parts of the ship such as the magazine (dont go WTF BAD IDEA WELL SINK)
We wont.  we alreadyhave them on board. Even the Bismark was sunk because of her magizine.

That would most likly sink the ship besides we're in a Sloop? their small and fast and low to the water. And most likly the only thing we should fear in ship to ship is archers most other weapons would be unable to get a angle on our ship unless their far away and has a great gunning crew or shear luck and sense the magizine is below the water line and most cannon balls don't hit the low or have the force to damage our ship and most other weapons don't do enough damage to damage anything vital (magazine,Captian Quarters, Fresh Water Storage) so why waste it on that when we get free ammo and stuff to repair said vital areas.

Hmmm... Both are valid points. We won't sink if we use the plates on the magazine, trust me, the ship can easily hold all the plates, and a lot more. We carried them with us remember?

Another valid point is the angle of another ship on our own. If the magazine is below the waterline, it is pretty much safe since no cannon balls will be able to punch through both water and the hull. We might spring a leak at worse. Still, we cannot armour the magazine in iron, not without a copper inner layer, which it should already have if it's any good. The rust will cause a reaction in the powder, and thats bad.

I think that our best bet is to think what we could use the plates for personally when compared to plating the magazine. We should use them, but it has to be for something worthwhile.

Oooo, see THATS what I'm talking about! A ram would be awesome, but I don't think that we have enough metal for one. But we could armour the mast! Have Mark and Max look into that.

we don't even need a full ram just a big metal point would do and becuase we're a sloop its close to the water line and will cause Maximum damage for minimum cost after we Armored up our mast(s) we're a sloop we are one of the fastest ships around we really need them because their in more danger then anyother part of our ship and the more damage they can take the better off we are.

We're a sloop, thus one of the fastest ships around.
Attaching a big metal point wouldn't cut it, it has too jutt out from underneath the hull requiring a lot of metal, if we do use enough we won't be fast enough or powerful enough to utilize it anyway. Armouring the mast though is a great idea
