Use the ring, I assume it regenerates, so just use the ring now.

No, its too unpredictable. It's vunerable and open to attack. Stick with what we know.

Asno should cast earth's fury, Mark and Roy opens fire with arrows, aiming for the vitals, eyes and neck, Max tosses bombs.

aim for the eyes, it's hide will probably be to thick to damage it with arrows to the body, also how about earth's fury? It's been a while after all

sigh... Stabby, people dont need ears for balance. it's what is inside of your head, closest to the ears. cutting off someone's ear and expecting them to lose balance is like pulling a leaf off a tree and expecting it to fall over

Well close enough the ears are a weak spot on the head so we should still shot them

And what, pray tell, will that do? Nothing really. We are better off shooting at it's heart, neck and face.

I dout we will be able to hit it's heart, it's too big for that, but it's neck would be excellent to hit, we might puncture it's wind pipe or hit a major artery or blood vessel, and the face has it's eyes which are nice targets as well, plus it will flinch away from the arrows coming at it's face which can buy us time, so that's a plus.

[OOC: Asno rolled 99 and the ogre rolled 5. That's just unfair. :o]

You take aim at the ogre, your arrow hitting it in the neck, cutting open a major blood vessel. (-1 Arrow)

Max tosses a bomb at the ogre, which sets off a chain reaction with the bombs on the tripwire. The resulting explosion seems to have blinded the ogre, and heavily burnt it. (-1 Bomb)

Mark takes aim at the ogre, hitting it in the shoulder. It doesn't seem to do much damage.

Asno focuses as the earth begins to rumble, and several sharp rock spikes shoot up from the ground impaling the giant ogre repeatedly, damaging many of its organs and causing very heavy bleeding. She falls from exhaustion.

The ogre tries to strike out at the group, but in its heavily damaged state it only manages to lose its balance and fall to the ground. It is still alive, but very vulnerable and at the brink of death.

Why didn't I think of that before...

Also vent can you do like a proper inventory for the others such as there weapons and armour? then put Kilroy's stuff into sprint's bags so it's a wee bit more realistic? Don't know how much support the idea has but seems a bit tidier in my head

[OOC: I intend to do a proper inventory for everyone pretty soon after we get out of the cave. Considering I haven't really been keeping track, I'm just going to do my best to remember what I gave everyone, if there is anything I missed or any inconsistencies when I do it feel free to point it out.]

The ogre is as good as dead, but Mark puts it out of its misery with a quick shot to the eye.. The four of you take a few minutes to rest before heading to the entrance of the cave, Asno regaining most of her energy back. You suddenly remember the old spell book you found in previous weeks, and make a mental note to show it to her later.

You think about the events of the day as the four of you walk through the tunnels, believing you did a good job against the ogres. You think all the way to the entrance to the cave, and- wait... why are there bandits outside the cave? It is obvious they see you, and they are lead by a familiar looking figure, the half-Goblin you saved Max from when you first met him.

“I saw you enter this town, and I still have a grudge against you fools. My scouts saw you enter this cave, and after we kill you, I think I might even take credit for clearing out the ogres.”

Max glances at you and then draws his dagger, preparing for the battle. Freeport is pretty far from Stockton, but it may not have been the best place to go with bandits on the search for you. Mark sighs, and Asno catches on quickly as to what's going on.

The two Kobolds you saved earlier are tied up further up the beach, most likely with the intention of selling them as slaves. The bandits must have been waiting for you for a while. There is a medium sized ship in the water with a jolly-Rodger raised, a pirate vessel. It is most likely theirs. You also still have a use of the enchanted ring you received from the elves.

Retreat inside the cave.

OPTIONAL: give them a warning along these lines
"We killed a dozen ogres, think you can beat us? lul"

Wait for the bandits to squeeze up in the tightest spot. Then bomb them, whoever can.
