Simple summary of what just happened:
The half-Goblin is a local bandit leader, and in Stockton right now there are a shitload of people who now want the three of you dead. You need to leave for the next town, either Cryptsocks or Changedgrove. Max is wanted in Cryptsocks moreso than he is here, so if you go there he will have a very hard time staying out of trouble. It is unlikely you would get in, anyway, but there is still a chance.

Our favorite Dwarven Thief has gotten us into a lot of trouble, but at this point it might be better to bring him along than leave him.

Yar I vote the elves, if the elves caravans are still there hitch a ride with them, warn Marks friend who sold you the leather armour he may be in danger and ask him to come with you, as for the tinkerers guild before you leave ask for a book that could help you make things for the elves - manipulate guilt in Chel if at all possible for whatever additional favors possible

You don't think it's safe to enter the town again, and the bandits are sure to be watching the roads the caravans will travel. You are about to leave when you happen to see the torch bearing orphan walking in the vagabond camp. He looks nervous as you approach him, but Mark hands him several copper coins and tells him to deliver a message to his friend that says to watch out and the location where you are going. You want to visit the tinkerer's guild before you leave, but it is well within the walls. You tell yourself you will come back here someday and reunite with Chel.

It is a little difficult to carry everything, but you split the load evenly between the three of you and start walking in the direction of the Elven lands. You make it a good distance before dusk and once again set up your camp. There is snow on the ground, and you end up making room in the tent to accommodate the three of you. It is kind of cramped inside now but Mark says he will either buy a tent or find some way to make one.

You all sit around the campfire and talk about this new change of fate. As you all enter the tent, with the glow mushroom inside for light, you try to train Mavrick, hiding his food in increasingly complicated places to help his intelligence. His eyes are open now, and he's starting to grow some hair. You all sleep well for the night.

You are now in the wilderness and will have to feed yourselves. You personally have only enough food for today, and your companions don't have much either. You have time before you need to start traveling, what would you like to do?

EDIT: Just how did we end up wanted this badly? our profile hasn't been too high prior to killing 2 men out of the ambush and associating with a wannabee thief

I might just be nitpicking, but shouldn't Kilroy and Max's  sleeping bags be smaller?

Anyway,

Mark: Go hunting.
Max: Recuperate.
Kilroy: Find a hand sized rock to replace The bronze dagger's handle. Then train Our pet some more. Also we can't whittle any more. Rehearse lies about how all wood related items were from dead trees.

You can't deny an artist his medium. Unless they teach us the Elf Kosher technique, I doubt we shall be staying long.

what do elves actually use then, without figging no stone or ore, trees are off-limits, really all they have is earth for structures but then again you do see them with wooden spears and the rest so there you go - hypocrites  >:(

We're not wanted by the government, we're wanted by a psycho bandit and his gang for helping out a certain thief who stole from him. Well, Max is wanted in Stockton and Cryptsocks, but that's because he has stolen and otherwise messed with their governments for years. The elves in this world are less the Dwarf Fortressy wood lover ones as "it's okay if you use some wood, we won't buy it because we can do better but we're not gonna kick you out of our town for it" ones. They might not eat meat but they shouldn't care much if you come in wearing leather armor and are munching on a pig leg as long as you aren't over hunting or deforesting.
