So is this about Endgame as in C++ or L++?

Because the problem with C++ is that practically sneezing liberally can topple the political system.

As for L++ game being tough, it isn't that hard to see why. We have a eutopia and people who fought for it who might thing that now is the time to quit.

Sure Liberals who are sentenced to Jail (sort of) may not be executed... however the psychological care is so great they might not even want to leave with you when you get them.

Or worse yet...  Give the police a few of the meanest freed lab animals around and I bet liberals will think twice about risking the wrath of SWAT.

Another idea: Maybe the game should have an endgame timelimit.  Once the conservatives start losing they decide that if they can't have the world then nobody can.  If a liberal or elite liberal president is in office for a sufficient number of years, a rogue general will start a nuclear war.  The only way to prevent this permanently is by achieving an elite liberal society in which nuclear weapons are banned.

A hard time limit would be somewhat imposing, especially considering the effect long prison sentences have on the game.

However, conservative elements of society beginning to react violently to the Liberal Agenda would be a useful addition. Liberal and Elite Liberal figures in government could have a tendency to have "unfortunate accidents" that leads to a conservative backlash out for revenge. An attempted military coup at some point or another. Foreign Conservative Agents out to make the US more conservative for their nation's benefit once Privacy Law and Military Spending go liberal. A coalition of citizens purely out to destroy the LCS by any means necessary, not because of political disagreements, but because the actions of the LCS over time have hurt so many people that they've made a lot of enemies.

Well... That would be bad for all the Liberal Pacifists here, what do you think? What if you only do some tame activism that doesn't even hurt the citizens?

It seems that when the Feds come and lay siege to your safehouse they give up way too easily.  I have 20+ liberals wearing army body armor with assault rifles, and they are basically invincible on the defensive.  With that much firepower, I have a 100% chance of fully wiping out a 6-man government SWAT team on the first attack.

The government comes, lays siege, and runs away when their assault team fails.  For both balance and realism reasons, it doesn't make sense for government to back off after a failed assault.  If anything, they would dig their heels in and throw waves of tanks at me until they could wipe out my large squad.  I mean, if they were willing to use fighter jets, why would they then back away and allow my liberals to move around freely before laying siege again?

If they don't back off, how do you win during a siege? I'm afraid it would be too disempowering to have the player unable to effectively fight off sieges at high levels.

I haven't been sieged in the newer versions yet, but I remember discussing having siege forces being able to get in the first shots at your Liberals during an encounter as a way of making sieges more realistic and difficult. So you could still break a siege but you couldn't break it and be completely unscathed.

Another thought I had, maybe implement bail for the justice system? So if a liberal is arrested for a non-violent crime, they wait a week at the police station and then can pay bail to stay out of jail until the court date? More grave charges would have higher bail posted. The USA is one of the few countries conservative enough to use the bail bond system, while more Liberal European countries simply do not have them.

So perhaps bail could be inexpensive and easy with more conservative police or rights policies, while it becomes expensive and/ or impossible when more liberal policies in effect. Jumping bail might bring on conservative bounty hunters. Just an idea to stack the odds against the player toward the end game.

On second thought, bail would'nt make the end game harder so much as it'd make the beginning easier.

A simple thing that occurred to me would be to just make everything more expensive the more liberal the tax issue is. Maybe L+ would be 2-3 times more expensive then C+. Another idea would be to make legal fund-raising less profitible or more difficult at more liberal policy. If business was highly regulated maybe it would be illegal to sell T-shirts or sketches or run a lemonade stand without an expensive business permit and mandatory minimum wages for your employees. So you could have police try to arrest your liberals just for asking for donations.
