language is java/c++

Looks like auto-restart isn't working, so I'm manually restarting server now.  Sorry about lag, and about Escher physics :P

Update: also placed three lawyercat spawners spread out so grinding is easier when multiple players are online

8bit.vg has been updated to S4.1/b245, which add a few things since my last post:
  • News panel on the side so it's easy to see what the latest changes are
  • Instead of showing bottomless white holes, a dark dirt texture is shown instead
  • Client does not show the login page until a connection to server has been confirmed
  • Server can now handle 433x more objects/entities (well, theoretically :P)
  • Server now limits framerate to no more than 1000fps (it was going faster than this before, lol)
  • Server loads the world much faster than before (20 seconds instead of 15 minutes)
  • Fixed an issue where server could sometimes not bind to a port
  • Grass will no longer be autogenerated more than 20 screens away from the origin (I can change this if the origin area gets too populated)
  • Fixed an issue with keeping player positions synced on client and server

I think part of the problem might be that swords deconstruct blocks. People run around swinging their sword for whatever, and suddenly, wall-holes.

Theres the ground that gets pierced, too.

Once again, swords. Notice most of the dark dirt is around Cat5 Cables. Someone destroys one block w/o sword, and then it expands from using the sword, trying to kill the lawyer cats.
