More Bridge woes
« on: August 29, 2006, 02:05:00 am »

I can't build bridges. Neither small piddly one square ones over 1x9 channels, or massive and important ones... like crossing the interior river.

Can't even build them on dry land.  I get pathing spam everytime.

Save.rar

Running on version v0.21.104.19b
I had been able to build bridges under previous versions, which is where the bridges in the save come from.

Is the material you are selecting to build the bridge inaccessible to the build site?  It's hard to tell right now, and that's often the problem.  A fix for that is on to-do.

Well... It appears that some of the stones they're after are on the wrong side of the river.  Like... all of them.  Somehow those stone pieces migrated towards the top of my stone list, despite, or perhaps, because I just opened up the cave river.  Except a pair of Jet stones... I've left them at the top since the game began, and they're still there.

I've scrolled down a few pages of stones, and the bridge is built. Thanks for the response, and since you've got a fix for it coming up, I'll just try to remember that dwarves are dumb till then.   ;)
