18th OpalFarmerbob came up to me. "The mining project in the cave is partially successful. The heavy flow of water into the downward passage has been lessened, allowing us to venture down there relatively safely. The area around the staircase is now dry, giving us some farming space down there. The next excavations are 50% completed."
"Hopefully, at this rate, we'll have an ample supply of stone."
22nd Opal"Success!"
"Now we should be able to work down there without too much current pushing us around."
26th OpalSquid came to report to me. "We've got access to dry stone!"
"Finally, we can set up a stonecrafting industry. And get stone pots."
4th ObsidianZas Abalavus, our liason, approached me. "Here, the mountainhomes need you to make some goods. We'll pay extra for them next year."
"Sure, whatever."
They must have some really carpy cooks over there to urgently need prepared meals...17th ObsidianSpoony stopped by the farming area as he started back down the pit. "I keep hearing these ghostly noises or something down there... Wonder what it could be?"
"I'll go tell Komra to make another slab."
21st Obsidian"CARP. WHERE IS THAT SLAB?"
"I'm on it" sighs Bembul as he lugs that lump of stone to the mason's workshop. Why did he have to go all the way down to the mining area, I don't know.

And that concludes my log and turn.
Stuff left alone that needs to be done:
-Make soap. We have one empty bucket left, other one has lye and water. We don't have more wood (and it'll take a while to get more), so make sure that bucket is only used for lye so we can make soap.
-To check out the mining area, press F3.
-Get rid of that ghost, its getting on people's nerves.
-If you can arm the recruit/milita captain, send him out to go fight a zombie or two. Don't forget to send along me or Spoony just in case.
