Does it count for the "explore the metropolis" quest?

Head to mister Roger's house.
Head to rwoger's house.

There is no woger, no woderic, and no wudolf the wed noses wayndeer!

Does it count for the "explore the metropolis" quest?

No, it would count towards in my time of dying though if you just explored.  I could make a quest trying to find the others if you like, though it won't net you much in the way of XP.

Besides, you botched your Perception/awareness roll.  You're going to have a few more problems than being lost in a ghost city.

(Necropolis, not metropolis, BIG difference there.)

T.G.S.L.D

Tarran Smith

Follow the man and stop him by grabbing his arms.

Okay, you've heard about this, it's practically on every TV show that has ghosts. All you have to do is stop him from throwing himself out the window and... something good will happen. At least that's what happens on TV. [Strength+1/2 will (Difficulty 8): Fail] You tackle the man from behind and loop your arms through his in order to put the brakes on. He just keeps walking. Cursing and struggling your attempt to stop him from moving meets with as much success as if you tried to flip your car over with your bare hands.

Grimacing you cease your fruitless effort, letting the man continue on into the building with yourself and the younger man you were arguing with following.

---

Adrian Leroe

Adrian sighs, and begins trying to get the Ross talking. This man had information... if Adrian could coerce it out of him... well, he'd be set. Right?

You hunker down beside the rocking man and place one hand on his shoulder to stay the rocking.[Manipulation+Leadership=Great Successs (2 Successes left for first stat increase for Ross)] "We want to get away Ross, but we don't know where to go." You keep your voice soft and make sure that he's looking at you while you speak. "You've been here, you know what's happening. Do you know somewhere we can be safe?"

Ross stares at you for a moment, then nods slowly. "Know a place, reapers stay there to rest and.... work on us. Can't get there from here, have to cross into the skinlands." He shudders slowly and manages to pull himself up into a squat. "I remember how to get in, can show you."

On an unrelated note your chest begins to feel warm.

---

Hikari Shizume

Hikari draws his sword, and stands up staring at the manhole the man had looked at as if he was scared of it. After a moment of thinking Hikari says "Try to get him to talk I have a bad feeling about this place, so do hurry it up I will make sure nothing is coming." and begins watching out for anything suspicious keeping a close eye on the manhole

You warn Adrian to hurry as you stand over the manhole and notice your words echoing strangely back up from the darkness. [Intelligence+0: Meager success] In the interest of maintaining a relative amount of stealth you refrain from playing with the echoes. [Perception+Alertness: Fair Success] You see nothing moving in the darkness of the pit.

---

Kaguro

Follow the odd falling man inside, ignoreing the others.

As Tarran completely fails to slow down the jumper you follow the ghost into the skyscraper, leaving the others out in the street. You're sure you'll be fine without them.

As the stranger walks into the building something begins to happen, the saturated shades and slightly virulent color begins to brighten into something normal and healthy, life begins to return to the area around the Jumper. This floor was the lobby of a large office building, you can see several fuzzy humanoid shapes in what would have been the peripherals of the stranger's vision, indistinct through lack of focus on the part of Jumpy McPavementface you would guess. A bouquet of flowers seems to grow from the stranger's hands, the colors and types are thoroughly mixed and they blur back and forth as the he walks, solidifying for a moment as he looks directly at them and then blurring back together as he approaches the desk and his attention shifts to the woman behind it.

They know each other and he presses a finger to his lips and asks her to key the elevator for him, she smiles conspiratorially and takes a small key of a hook behind the counter. He opens the elevator and she leans in and twists the key in one of the circular slots that prevent the elevator from reaching the higher floors. Grinning broadly he thanks her and promises to get her flowers next time, she laughs and tells him to have a good time before stepping out and getting back to the receptionists desk.

The door is open for long enough that you and Tarran can follow him in.

Continue following the Jumping ManTM.

Dark Destiny

Frank Morris

Frank ignored the newcomers with the odd dialect. He had bigger fish to fry and it seemed like the man who had stopped him had that situation well in hand anyway. He resumed going for the bar.

Shaking away from the detective you walk out into the main drag and start making your way through the bar, it hadn't looked like there was going to be an imminent violence and you don't have any real reason to stick with the others, you've got a mission.

The people -if they can be termed that- are even more diverse than they appeared before as the more minute details become visible with proximity, imagination seems to be the limit when it comes to shape, color, and attire, though bipedal locomotion seems be more common than not. [Int+Subterfuge: Fair Success]  You move through the crowd without attracting undue attention, you're non-augmented body is broken enough by the trench coat and expression of determination that the looks you get are more disdain than curiosity.

[Random Club: Hell's Waiting Room, Club Roughness: High, Club Show Type: Skinfreak] You press through the crowd, climbing up the series of spidering stairs that lead up into the floors of the burned building. You're stopped at the door by a large spirit with a pair of extra arms that have been grafted into heavy ectoplasmic blades. "Quarter coin." he growls.

Cover charge in the underworld, who knew?

Daniel Blackwell

Head to mister Roger's house.

You don't know about this, just diving into the situation isn't your usual way... You want answers, and the only person who has yet to provide you with any of them left. Whatever jobs he has for you there is at least a reasonably certainty that he won't kill you until he's gotten his money out of you. Rolling your shoulders you walk away from the party, looking for streetsigns. [Perception+Alertness=Meager Success] It takes you a minute to find them, they've been... redone. You're pretty sure that thing is called a rack, you're also pretty sure it's a medieval torture device. The body on it is unmoving but blue letters glow brilliantly against its distorted flesh, you stare at the body for a moment before you're able to read the thing. You start wonder how you end up as a glorified neon sign as you start walking.

[Stamina+Athletics:Botch] You attempt to jog down the street, you don't get far before you manage to develop a fierce runners stitch in your side. The unfairness of being dead and yet still susceptible to stitches is so very large. [Int+Subterfuge: Complete Success] Luckily gasping wildly while sweating seems to be taken as some form of fashion statement, considering most of them don't seem to breathe it probably is.

Raymond Connor

Find the way back to where I came from. Find the other guys, they at least weren't to haul my arse off to slavery.

Considering where you came from is much nearer to the slavers than you ever want to get again you decide to try and find the others.

Then of course you realize you have now frickin' clue where the others are. Considering you can't do any worse than getting away from the slavers you pick a random direction and pull yourself to your feet. Dusting yourself off you [Dexterity+Dodge: Fair Success] throw yourself out of the way in time to avoid being smashed into the wall by bristly black appendage.

There is a very large, very dark, very inhuman thing that was trying to creep up behind you. It cackles at you and begins charging.

Jhon Harley

softly "guys, it probly can't hurt to have a bit of a tour, plus it will help us not get into a fight what do you say", if the rest of the team agrees, i pay them and we get the tour

Considering that everyone else has vacated the premises you draw out a coin from your pouch and toss it to the lead gang member. You flashes a toothy grin and draws out one of his and clinks them together, both coins emit a soft shrieking sound. " 'Aight moleman, let's take a walk." He says and the others fall in, as you start walking along the street one of the girls offers you a drink.[Wit+Streetwise: Meager Success] Not wishing to offer offense you accept, taking a swallow from the dented metal bottle. [Stamina+1/2 Will (Difficulty 7): Complete Success] It burns like nothing you've ever tasted in your life, and for a moment you feel a rush of irrational and near total fear. The urge passes and you manage to keep your face carefully neutral, as you hand the bottle back. "Damn mole can drink Cora's brand without screaming, and can stare off Gabe... Bastard's got balls of iron." One of the others mutters from behind you. (Doomshade status change: Neutral Respect.)

When you're in the middle of the street the gang leader starts pointing out landmarks. "Well, here's the burned. North gate you been through, so you know that. The burned's got the best clubs and shops for the newfolk." At the word newfolk there's a few raised arms and cheers from the others, like the leader their outfits bleed when they move. The leader merely nods and bares his teeth in a smile. "Most come here, good work if you're not too picky. Best ectokanic in the damn city works over at Requiem," he points out a structure near the top of one of the burned buildings which you make special note of. "Nightmare is the best place to look for a job, also good place to get your head caved if you don't know the owls." He points out another structure nearer the ground floor of a building. "Could take you clubbing and go through 'em all, but I think you be more wanting the grand tour, Right?" He barely spares a moment to glance at you before continuing. "Just remember that the burned is the best place for newfolk, the shops, the clubs, and the flops are here. This the place to be seen, cohorts don't come here and the heretics know to do their preaching where people are too quickened to listen."

Eventually you come to a cross and the gang stops "So, what you want to see next? We go round left we'll see the cohorts digs and the Heretic compounds, we go round right we'll come to the Heights where all the best of the best sit."

A word on quests, the XP number beside them is the amount of XP you get if you cancel the quest now, there is a bonus for completing the quest but if you find yourself unable or lacking in inclination to finish you can cancel for a partial XP gain.

Getting lots of quests and then canceling them all for cheap XP is a about as smart as getting an advance on labor for a dozen jobs and then quitting all of them. Just before Darvi asks.

Um, do I have a 'quarter coin'?

Oboli tear, one obolus is a coin and the highest singular unit of currency.

A twenty-fifth of an Obolus is called a Drachma, a Drachma is the smallest unit of currency. If left together the pieces of an obolus will eventually 'heal' and join together to form whole coin.

I see.

Frank decided to take the man at face value and ripped one of his oboli into quarters, then handed one of the quarters over. He waited for a moment to see if that was correct, and if it was, he would then pass through the door and inspect the crowd for his quarry.
