They'd both be the same, as what is getting melted is flesh and fat. Unfortunately, beard fire-retardation (lol) is not implemented yet.

So you should look in the material template for skin and fat.

Aw, that makes Tundra and Glaciers easier to settle!
Ah well, we can always go to a Desert Volcano.

This is a side-effect of dwarven animal training (hit animal with hammer until it forgets that it hates you, then lovingly cuddle it).

I'm not your average Bay12er. I care about my drunken midgets.

Does this mean no flaming or sub zero swords?  :(

btw, elves are so vanilla. Give them legendary +5 ambush, bowmenship, range, dodge, and top it off with a range 5x that of a dwarf. What ever adds the flavor.

LIES!!!! You can still get frost-bite and die from hypothermia on glaciers, it's just really unlikely that it will happen, a side effect of the burning rain that happened a few version's back, the entire game world is alot warmer then it used to be.

That is not true at all.

This is what happens when my ice warlocks attack a turkey:

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

That was after one breath. Direct hit! :D

Yea cold damage is definitely still in.  I have modded in white dragon's that's breath relies on doing cold damage.  It is incredibly lethal.

And the values for temp tolerance can be found in materiel raws.

Skin Cold Damage: 9900U  or -68 degrees Fahrenheit
Skin Heat Damage: 10250U or 282 F
Fat Cold Damage: 9900U or -68 F
Fat Melting Point: 10078U or 110 F

Muscle/Sinew/Bone/Cartilage/Hair/Organs: All same as skin.

Which means that the coldest you can get before taking damage is 9900 Degrees Urist, or negative 68 Fahrenheit.  And your entire body will be taking the damage pretty much universally.

Hottest you can get before you take damage from heat is 10074 Urist, or 110 degrees Fahrenheit, and that damage will be from your fat melting into grease.  If you lose all your fat and somehow survive, you can go up to 10250 degrees Urist, or 282 degrees Fahrenheit before your body pretty universally starts taking heat damage.

If the cold is caused by a breath attack there is a chance that the cold will only be localized. I've had necromancer warlocks zombify someone's arm without zombifying the rest of them.

Yeah I added in a few fun siegers...
