Escape from Slavery - Back to Homeland
« on: June 15, 2011, 07:01:19 am »

The Elder Scrolls IV thread on these forums inspired me to start Morrowind again and it inspired me to start this.

You are playing either Argonian or Khajiit slave, working on the plantations near Lake Amaya. I have done some basic outlining of the story, but it is still rather incomplete. Basically your main goal is to simply escape from Morrowind, back to your homeland. I am no The Elder Scrolls lore expert, but I am trying to keep it as close to the original lore as possible.

It will probably take quite some time before I will get this running, but I am opening this for any interested players already.

I am not using any pre-made rule system, but I will throw some (virtual) dice behind the background to determine successes and failures.

Also English is not my native language so I would like to apologize any spelling/grammatical errors my post(s) may contain.

I like the idea.  Never played Morrowind, but I played Oblivion, so I hope I know enough.

Name:Vas'qir Remlok
Race:Khajiit
Age:27
Skills: I don't remember all the skills, but I want a sneaky unarmed fighter, please.
Background: Vas'qir knew a life of nothing but working hard, getting whipped and abused, working hard some more, and never receiving anything in return.  From other Khajiit slaves, he learned of a life without chains.  Now he will do anything to be free, as well as punish his former captors.

For clarification the skills don't need to be from the computer games, but can be anything (reasonable) that your character is good at.

God DAMN I love this game!

Name: Basks-In-The-Sun
Race: Argonian
Age: 63
Skills: Destruction, Alteration, Sneak, Security, Marksman
Background: Born a Shadowscale in the Black Marsh, Basks-In-The-Sun was trained to be an assassin from an early age. However, during his training he was abducted and taken to Lake Amaya.

I am a bit of a lore TES lore buff, but I am far from anything compared to some of the guys down at the Bethesda forums. I never really like Morrowind, though, and haven't played it much at all (so, if I make a mistake about the scenery or something then please don't be too angry).

I guess that's enough players. I'll work on the plot, and I hope players will fill gaps in their character sheets, and I guess we can have this starting tomorrow...

EDIT: Edited character sheet template. Please add a gender to your own sheet.

EDIT2: And mages might select four spells.

Prologue
It is oddly cold night. Five slaves - two Khajiit and three Argonian - are lying on the haybed in a locked shack on the grounds Falandas Plantation. You can hear silent footsteps from outside. The lock starts to rustle and it creaks while it is opened. You can see three figures - Dunmer, judging from the color of hands - dressed in dark capes and hoods.

"Be quiet, we are here to free you", one of them says. Two Dunmer step inside and the third one stays outside guarding the door. Those two start working on your slave bracer's; the other is muttering magical words - trying to remove the magic of the bracer - and the other one is picking the locks.

Surroundings*:
You are on a shack with a one door on the eastern wall.

((*This will tell ways to exit and what is in what direction. For example to south is a forest, and so on.))

OOC:
First read the OOC info from original post.
During this first turn, I suggest making some plans regarding the escape. Khajiit will try to head Elsweyr and Argonian to Black Marsh*. Talk with each other and try to agree who goes with whom (although you can also go alone) and roughly by what route*. Also making some basic plans will help my work, and allow me to think forward about the things you will encounter on the journey. I will give you now time to speak with each other and update your character sheets. I'll get the game rolling for real when you are ready. Once again I hope you'll enjoy this journey. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

*Consult the maps on original post.

((It is Pelagiad, actually. I also updated bigger maps to OP. And your background is missing Taricus. And you should get some starting spells vagel7.))

EDIT: ((An you can talk with each other more than once a "turn", just in case that was unclear.))

"Might asking what our rescuers have planned by wise?"

((Would it be terribly inconvenient if Tsarmania tried to get to Cyrodil instead of her homeland?))
