While we still have two spots, no reason not to start already!

The three of you wake to find yourself in a dingy room with a dirt floor. Sunlight shines through missing patches in the roof and from a head sized hole in one corner. There is a single chair in the middle of the room, behind it a ladder that climbs to the low ceiling, no more than a foot above your heads. At the top of a ladder appears to be some sort of sealed hatch.

Against one wall, between a pair of doors, there is a three level sheld. The bottom shelf contains several locked metal boxes. The top shelf contains a long wooden box. The middle shelf contains a clawhammer, a wood saw, and a box of nails.

On each of the buildings four walls, there are two doors. Each of these doors is simple, wooden, and of a single color, with no handle and no hinges, implying they open outwards.

On each of the doors is a symbol.

Get up, take the long wooden box, and open the western door (the ^ sign door) onto a vast grassy plain. Open the box and see what's inside it.

A dwarf and Bowl are now here as well.

SC takes the box, and opens the western door (the #) onto a wide open plan. As he steps out, the door slams shut behind him, and was never there.
He opens the box. It contains a large [claymore] engraved with a variety of runes. It pulses with magical energy.
SC HAS SURVIVED FOR ONE TURN
SC HAS SURVIVED FOR ONE ROLL

Derm charges through the &, bursting into the forest beyond. The sound of animals call to him in the gloom, as sparse rays of light penetrate the thick canopy to reach the floor below. He is up to his ankles in decaying vegetation.
DEM HAS SURVIVED FOR ONE TURN

Kaguro Draven takes the clawhammer, and the nails, then runs through the @. He finds himself in a dank alleyway, the crack and hissle of nearby exposed wires and the smell of ozone filling his nostrils. It is nighttime, and the alley is fairly dark, but the streets themselves are well lit, in stark contrast to the eerie silence. Aside from the crackly of electricity, he can hear the steady drop of water from an unknown direction.
KAGURO DRAVEN HAS SURVIVED FOR ONE TURN

Bowl pulls the chair under the head-sized hole, climbs on top and stick his head out to have a look around. [4] He can see a desert, long and wide and bright under the searing double sign far above him. A few straggly plants grow here and there - in the distance far to the west he can see some iron red plateaus, and in the other direction he can see a distant cloud along the horizon, though he doesn't know what it could be.

What do you do?

Choo and Powder Miner have been waitlisted.
