"Uhhm... O-okay!"
Kaviv didn't like the sound of the whole 'piling out the front door' part, nor the bit about catching the gangers between them, but he wasn't about to break down now... And besides, at least he wasn't the one sneaking in there.
"Uh, keep... Safe, I guess. I'll wait here..." He trailed off, as 971 was already moving away.
He took his shotgun in hands and nestled in behind a nearby signpost/postbox/wall, keeping out of sight of any passersby whilst still keeping an eye on the building, waiting for some sign of, well, something.

Not wanting to pass up the chance of finding more information for her employer, Loria slipped in to the apartment as quietly as she could. Keeping an eye out for the bodyguard, she also keeps an eye on Roskank and Anthony via the Navigator. If the bodyguard is awake she'll attempt to neutralize him quietly. If he's asleep she'll search the apartment for any useful information, hopefully quietly enough to not wake him.

Akhain Gazhorn
"That is all I need... You have my thanks, Jinan." Ask Jinan to drop me off somewhere relevant.

[5] - Jinan gets Akhain home in no time, and soon he's stumbling through his door and slumping down on his coach. With nothing else to do, Akhain idly watches the news and various mindless entertainment shows until the images she promised are ready. It takes just over half an hour, but the images are excellent work, scrubbed clean of any mark of digital tampering. Akhain gets to work immediately, sending his report and the shots to his New Regime contact.

A short while later, a message proclaiming the Regime's disappointment and 10 000¤ drop into his inbox. He gathers the latter gladly.

Systar
Grenade me? Not on my watch.

Wait a second to ensure the doorway is clear of fire.  If so, dart in and get to a safe spot before opening fire.  If the door's too hot, dodge down the alley and pick them off as they come out.

[6] - Systar heads right, hugging the church wall. He rounds around the corner, hearing the tell-tale clatter of a live RUS grenade. There's a click, and then a resounding boom that Systar can feel in his gut. He feels the blastwave pass him, heat washing over his face. Shrapnel clatters down against the church walls and roof and a cloud of shattered stone, now only fine dust, gushes outwards. Someone screams.

Peering round at the back of the church, Systar makes out through the dust the broken wall opposite to the church - thankfully, the building itself seems unharmed - with a visible hole in the building behind it. The screams are coming from inside. As Systar, watches, a ganger steps out of the church and fires off a burst from the hip into the building, but the terrified howling only gets worse. [5] Systar doesn't give him another chance to try out his aim. He levels his Revolver and pulls the trigger. The powerful handgun jerks back and launches out a heavy, rounded shot that finds its mark [Dodge:1-2=1] just above the ear of the ganger. [Damage:12+11=23] The shot paints the church walls further red, repeating what happened to the last one.

Systar hears cursing inside. More shots are fired off from inside, this time slightly angled towards his position, but come nowhere near hitting. For a few moments, nothing happens - [3] then there's a roar from behind him, and he turns to see two gangers rushing towards him down the side of the church from the direction of the front door. [3-1=2][4-1=3] With no-one to target, only the second thinks to fire. [Dodge:6+2=6] The shot scores an excellent hit on an abandoned refreshment cart to Systar's right. [4][Dodge:6-2-1=3] His rushed return shot rips through the side of the fat ganger's thigh, [Damage:12-11=1] with little noticeable effect.

Gaosaron
"Sorry, no medical team is coming," Gao said, wincing through his wounds as he put his weapons away. "Ratrik, secure the area." He turned back to the man. "I'm Gaosaron el-Anaula Ra'Vantahin, this is Tarur Ratrik. We were sent to find out what had happened here." He looked around for some medical supplies. "Can you tell me anything?" he asked. If he found some medical supplies, he would try to patch the man up, then tend to his own wounds.

[3] - 'Oh, for...' the man spits. 'If I make it, I'm going to raise such a PR shitstorm this company will go down in flames.'

'Okay, I'll...' he starts, but doesn't get further than that. A droplet of blood trickles down his lip and his eyes glaze over. He grasps for Gao's hand, but before the bounty hunter can do anything, the man begins to spasm and jerks violently against his restrainers. Blood gushes out of his mouth and his opened-up body, spilling quickly down the table.

[2] Gao's no expert in medicine, [6] but Ratrik immediately rushes to the man, scooping up half a dozen instruments from the surrounding surfaces. He begins shouting orders with a familiar tone, prompting Gao to stop his gawking and act.

'We've got to close him up.' Ratrik soon says, his hands a complex dance over the man's body. 'See if you can bring some of these automatic systems back online.'

Gaosaron looks at what he's gesturing at. Simple robotic surgeons and machinery hang from the ceiling and sit below the table. [3] They've been thoroughly vandalized, but most could probably be reactivated with a bit of luck and time. They have neither.

[6] No alien reinforcements are coming just yet, fortunately.

Subject 971 and Kaviv Otoli
"We need to get rid of the Overwatch up there, the guy with the Golgo. Quietly. Keep out of sight Kaviv, but get ready to fight. If you hear gunfire or shouting, then the game is up...if that happens, they'll probably pile out of the front door, and we can catch them between you down low and me up high, on the walkway."

Action: 971 circles around the building, trying to find a way to climb up onto the walk way without being seen. Once he gets there, try to stealth kill the machine gun guy from behind with the thermal blade.

He took his shotgun in hands and nestled in behind a nearby signpost/postbox/wall, keeping out of sight of any passersby whilst still keeping an eye on the building, waiting for some sign of, well, something.

[1] - Going 'round the building proves impossible - as 971 tries to move for the alley, he feels the gangers' guns on him. He turns back quickly, to his cowering assistant, and waits for them to lose their interest. [3] It seems the fence-and-ladder combo he spotted earlier is the best choice, so he heads there.

[6] 971 clears the fence with one giant leap, landing with a graceful, if noisy, roll on the other side. He immediately grasps the ladder and begins climbing, hoping no-one comes to investigate. [1] He's not in luck. He hears footsteps, [5] and barely has time to pull himself up when the machinegunner appears from around the corner and lets out a shout of alarm.

[4+1=5] The Golgo awakens with a reverberating boom, spitting out volley after volley of destructive ammunition, roaring with a sound that sets ancient biological alarms ringing throughout 971's mind. [Dodge:1][Damage:27+18=45] The first shots that hit his prone form go straight through the armor, tearing flesh and shattering inside.

The next volley slams against his skull, and the pain is unbearable. [4-2=2] He throws commands at his body, but his brain fights back, freezing him in place while the ganger approaches. Blood flows into his eyes, but even so, he can make out a wicked grin on the alien's face.

[5][Dodge:5] And then Kaviv Otoli's Widowmaker fires and puts a hole in the walkway just behind the ganger. The brutish alien acts on instinct, throwing his weight fully around to bring the younger hunter into the sights of his machinegun. [1+1=2] He swings the gun over a wide area - but sees nothing. [2] 971 watches his blood trickle down and drip off the walkway, attempting to push himself up in vain.

[4] Kaviv sees the door guards break off into a run towards his position from the corner of his eye, and there's no way the HMG fire didn't go unheard inside.

Barauc
Head to the police station. Look at it with your own eyes and see if there is anything else the info missed

[3] - Barauc takes a cab to the police house. He spends a good fifteen minutes checking out the building from all sides, [4] but there doesn't seem to be anything the package missed.

The rooftops allow for a good position to fire at any window, and the station rooftop can be easily jumped to, if he intends to rappel inside in some way. Then there's the maintenance entrance and the front doors, if he's feeling up to it.

Spoiler: Riccto (click to show/hide)

Loria
Not wanting to pass up the chance of finding more information for her employer, Loria slipped in to the apartment as quietly as she could. Keeping an eye out for the bodyguard, she also keeps an eye on Roskank and Anthony via the Navigator. If the bodyguard is awake she'll attempt to neutralize him quietly. If he's asleep she'll search the apartment for any useful information, hopefully quietly enough to not wake him.

[3] - Loria begins working on the apartment lock, fiddling with it for minutes to not to make too much sound. The success of that is debatable, but it eventually swings open.

Loria steps into a dark entryway, listening carefully for any sounds or speech. There's nothing. There are no sources of light, but her visor adjusts quickly. She takes a step forward and spares a quick glance through her Navigator - which becomes her only warning. A tiny green blip on the same floor, edging ever closer.

[6+1=6] The towering bodyguard leaps out of the darkness without a sound, swinging him around the corner and [Dodge:5-1=4] launching himself into a kick over Loria's head, who barely has time to hit the ground, crashing down on top of a shoe shelf. Her opponent goes past in a whoosh, spinning his body around in 180 degrees. He slams into the wall back-first and lets out a single gasp of exertion. Using the wall as a springboard, he leaps forward for another attack, attempting to tackle Loria.

[4][Dodge:6+1=6] Loria's rushed jab flies between his arm and body, missing everything. She throws herself right in the cramped space, crashing on her stomach once again and smelling dust and shoe polish.

Her opponent begins to turn around, [6][Dodge:2+1=3] but Loria is faster and kicks out, [Damage:2-2=0] causing little actual damage but sending the bodyguard stumbling back, attempting to regain his balance. Loria quickly stands up and takes up a fighting stance.

Calmly reaching to her side, Loria grabbed a gravity trap, activated it, and tossed it at the bodyguard. In one continuous, fluid movement she swung her carbine up, covering the giant man. "I suggest you refrain from moving, unless you want to be considered an accomplice in your employer's actions," she bluffed.

"On it," Gao said. This was his specialty anyway. He knelt before a control panel and ripped off the covering metal, four hands immediately going to work among the wires, repairing and rerouting where possible, while the remaining two moved to begin running diagnostics and hack, if necessary.

Do as Ratrik says and repair the surgery machines.

Kaviv readied his shotgun to fire again, cursing. He'd missed! Sure, he hadn't fired this kind of gun before- hadn't fired many guns before in general, actually- but to miss now, when 971 needed him?! At least he'd distracted them, judging by the running footsteps he heard, but that was kindof what worried him right now... He ducked back into the shadows, clutching the weapon grimly to his chest as he whispered a desperate prayer or two.
He knew his grandfather had been religious, he'd picked up a few short prayers of the Tiyshun faith from the old man before he drowned himself in the bedpan, and by all that was holy he could really use a hand right now!
Taking cover in his little hidey-hole, Kaviv waits 'til the closest of the two gangers is near, then grits his teeth and leans out of cover, firing his shotgun before racking another shell. He'll fire again, either at the same guy if he's still standing, or the other one if the first is down.
'Oh Tiysha, get me out of here... This isn't how Ratab described his first mission...'

Akhain Gazhorn
Let's go implant shopping! Find a reputable-looking place and browse it's implanty wares.

[6] - Akhain calls up a surgeon he knows who does operations for cash on the side and asks for a time for an implanting procedure. The man is free and Akhain heads over - a place in the Old District, high-class and clean. A secretary lets him in and gives him a list of available augments. This is when Akhain realizes he's missing 500¤ - but the surgeon is a reasonable man. Akhain is sure they can work something out.

Systar
Blow away both of them.  Wait a few seconds for more to arrive, then head in the back door.

[5] - Systar levels the Aurora at the fat one's chest and fires. [Dodge:5-1-2=2][Damage:16] He goes squealing down, tripping on his own feet and crashing face-first onto the dust. Systar doesn't waste any time watching him die, but spins right and goes for another shot at the second ganger. [1-2=1][2] He moves too fast, rushing forwards with a wild expression.

[3] A third ganger appears at the other end of the alleyway, but Systar pays him no heed. [3] He points the Aurora towards the side of the runner's head at nearly point blank range [Dodge:3-2=1] and fires. [Damage:15] The contents of the ganger's skull go flying onto the wall, and Systar heads for the back entrance before the third ganger can get to him.

[3] No gunfire greets him in the doorway, but it's not too far out. A ganger is pointing a Widowmaker at the door when he appears, calling something out to behind him.

Systar takes a quick look at the church inside. What he's inside seems to be an open-topped walled side room - he can see the metal-plated ceiling higher up overhead - full of vandalized religious junk. Behind the doorway to the main church floor, Systar can see another ganger, walking briskly away from them.

Do as Ratrik says and repair the surgery machines.

[6+1-1=6] - Gao gets to work immediatelly, his expert vision picking out the most useful machines and getting to work on fixing them first. He quickly realizes to his relief that whoever made these things made them sturdy, and little important has been destroyed. He patches up what's needed and gets them back running. He can hear them whirring to life and beginning to circle the patient when he moves onto the minor ones.

[6+1-1=6] It only takes a few minutes and everything in the room is back in working condition or better. Even the lights seem brighter. Not only that, but Gao locates the manual security overrides for the doors and window panels, and can close up the room in case the aliens return en masse.

[4] 'I've got him stabilized, for now,' Ratrik informs him after a while. Gao notices the alien has blacked out, and Ratrik confirms this a moment later. 'I'm going to need something to boost him up with somehow. Let me check these cabinets...'

[5] While he's still talking, there's a crackle of electronics and loud, hissing static fills the room. After a few seconds, it dies down for the most part and a haggard voice takes over the speakers by the ceiling.

'Hello? Is there anyone there? I noticed a power spike...' the voice trails off for a moment. 'We're stuck in the old control room, and we've run out of food. Follow the maintenance tunnels up the station, and... no, that won't work, we fused the door shut. Hang on - if there's someone there, and I'm not talking to a malfunction or these things - I'll get back to you.'

The voice and the static cut off as quickly as they came, leaving the pair in silence.

Taking cover in his little hidey-hole, Kaviv waits 'til the closest of the two gangers is near, then grits his teeth and leans out of cover, firing his shotgun before racking another shell. He'll fire again, either at the same guy if he's still standing, or the other one if the first is down.

[5] - 971 feels adrenaline pumping through his system, the pain fading for now. He raises his Aurora [Dodge:2-1=1] and the new prototype targeting system flares up at the perfect shot. He pulls the trigger and the gun, waiting until his wandering hand gets close enough for the heart, fires. [Damage:23+11=34] The ganger is thrown forwards by the force of the shot and goes toppling over the railing, falling wordlessly onto the hard asphalt below.

Coughing up blood and close to passing out, 971 pushes himself up against the wall and pulls open a medkit from his back. He takes out the emergency stimms, closes his eyes and grits his teeth and slams it home. The drugs take effect quickly, clearing up his mind from the pain and weakness. He begins administering the rest of the kit, as quickly as he can.

Down below, [6+2=6][2] Kaviv goes low below his cover, just in time to [Dodge:3+1+1=5] avoid a blast from a ganger's shotgun that rips through a water pipe behind him in the wall. Steaming hot water gushes out and splashes on his back, his armor soaking most of the heat. He jumps up through the water and [1] finds himself paralyzed at his first meeting with real combat. [2] The first ganger crosses the distance and leaps over Kaviv's barrier, [2+2=4][Dodge:4+1=5] but the bounty hunter leaps back just in time. Kaviv crashes into the pipes and the ganger goes sprawling over onto the ground. The second, halting in his tracks, fixes his Widowmaker at defenseless Kaviv from behind the barrier with a wicked grin.

[6] Abruptly, gunfire erupts inside the factory hall and is met with several smaller weapons. From his position up on the walkway, 971 can hear the whoosh of a flamer. A door just around the corner leads inside.

Loria levels her carbine and says;

The bodyguard closes his eyes, a huge strain under the effects of the Trap and grimaces.

Everything goes black at once. Loria takes an involuntary step back, emergency warnings flooding her visor and effectively blinding her. 971 took to one knee and aimed at the one menacing his buddy...he had a good position, clear line of sight. And the guy was just standing there, showing his back. Bang.

He decided the gunfire from inside might have been some sort of...internal dispute? Who cares. Less competition anyway.

EMP- neat!  I need to make some powerful friends who can hook me up with the good stuff.

Well, those street punks were good learners.  Looks like I have at least three more lessons to give out...

Blade the close-by ganger.  If the one headed for the door comes back (or if any others come in), blade him too.  Otherwise, reload the Aurora while I have a minute.  Go back to the alleyway to continue to hunt gangers if able.

"Hmm... May we make a deal? I'm missing 500¤, but I'd be happy to pay it off after my next job, with a little bit more to make up for the inconveniance. How does this sound?" Akhain raised an eyebrow slightly. He knew that this surgeon was a reasonable man, so an offer like this should be acceptable, at least.

Gao nodded to Ratrik. "Let's look around. I'll lock the place up, and the machines should keep him stable for now, so we should be all right until we hear back from... whoever that was."

Lock the room down, then help Ratrik search for healing items. In the off-chance we find multiple, set the first aside for the patient. The next will go to me, then Ratrik, then if there are still any left over I'll use them until either my health is fifty or we're out. If my health does get back to fifty, use everything left on the patient to get him up and running again.
