Taric Taiservi
Take the republic mission, then check the black market.

[6] - Taric messages back to the new regime that he's willing to take the job. They'll provide transport. Taric decides to connect to the black market in the meantime. Different categories pop up on your screen - weapons, ammo, explosives, devices, implants, intel. What will it be?

Spoiler: Taricus (click to show/hide)

Akhain Gazhorn
Accept the offer, go to the transport when I know where it is.

[3] - After a few minutes, Gazhorn gets a message from his new pilot to meet her at a warehouse by the river. Akhain gathers his stuff and heads over there. After a while of waking, Akhain spots a similar black aircar to the Republic one earlier. If he's going to betray them and make a deal with Father Kosh, there's no need to reveal he already knows where he is. The Republic could just flatten the entire cathedral with an air strike. Thankfully, it passes by overhead.

The woman is already waiting for him when he arrives. She appears to be a dark-skinned human with a pleasant face and features, even by the standards of Akhain's race. She greets him clad in a mechanic's jumpsuit, shaking his hand enthusiastically.

'I'm Jinan. Pleasure to meet you.' she says, 'My baby's just inside. Hang on while I open the roof, okay?'

Akhain follows his pilot inside the warehouse. The lights flicker on, revealing an old, blocky construction that isn't immediately recognizable as a starship. But it is one. How could have she afforded such a thing, even if this didn't look exactly new? He was expecting a cargo shuttle, not this. It covers almost the entire lenght of the warehouse. Akhain walks around it, staring in wonder at the design. He's not too familiar with human history, but this ship is probably atleast a thousand years old. He spots golden engravings on the hull, crudely scratched away. Someone has written 'the Lucky Bastard' below it with a white chalk. The woman soon returns, the roof above sliding open.

'Well, get in. I have a tight schedule, y'know.'

Spoiler: Talarion (click to show/hide)

Systar
Activate Cloak and just go past them.  Report mission success and check for new missions.

[6] - Systar reactivates the Cloaking Device, [6] which wakes up with hiss. The door slams open and two gangers come out, but Systar simply moves around them and heads on. [3] He moves more carefully this time and avoids all traps. Systar soon arrives home and gets back in his hotel room, deactivating the Cloak. He realizes he doesn't have any way to contact his employer, but notices that the money has already been transferred to his account. Good.

[5] Systar checks his offers. Two have been cancelled, but there are two new ones.

The first is the same Sikhet one. It doesn't say much, but asks him to meet up with their contact as soon as possible at the city spaceport.

The second is from someone who calims to be the head of a large criminal organization. The target is a rival by the name of Ichabod Ain, wanted dead or alive. He spends most of his time in his office in the Financial District. He needs to make it look like a suicide or an accident.

The thirth has been sent by a group of unnamed people, who say there's a corrupt judge that's been letting gangers and other criminals go free at trials, and they want him captured so they can make him change his mind. The bounty is just 5000¤.

Spoiler: Toaster (click to show/hide)

Gaosaron
Gao put away the chainblade in favor of the Inferno. He would need to spray a lot of bullets, fast, to take this thing down before it escaped. It was just as injured as he was, if not moreso, and this would be his only chance to get some credits out of this mission. He ran after it, squeezing the trigger as soon as he thought he had a good bead on it.

[6]vs[7+1=8] - The chase continues, the beast racing towards the Steelworks exit. Gao knows he should be feeling more pain, but adrenaline has finally kicked in. He'll have to worry about that later. [2] Gao tries to raise his Inferno to fire, but he can't get it aimed straight while still running. The beast gets even farther away. Gao keeps running, but he's simply not as fast as thing thing. He can see it preparing to jump for the Steelworks. This is it. He might not get another chance.

Subject 971
Follow him through the crowd. Act natural!

[3] - 971 gets out and tries to shadow Fashuk down the main street. The constant stream of moving people makes following him somewhat difficulty, and he sticks out from the mass of Habiri like a sore thumb. Thankfully, so does Fashuk, especially with that overly colourful suit.

[3] Fashuk suddenly takes a sharp turn into the courtyard of a Habiri building. His base of operations? 971 hurries after him, almost running through the doorway. He stops. Fashuk is nowhere to be seen. A typical, three-level Habiri house stands at the end of the courtyard. Did the smuggler go inside, or...? 971 takkes a few more steps, and hears a Thermal Blade activate behind him. Shit.

[4-1=3][Dodge:1] Fashuk steps forward, performing an almost lazy upwards slice with the Blade. 971 can't turn, but feels it burning across his spine and neck. [Damage:30+12=42] He falls to his knees, gasping for breath. Fashuk laughs, slowly walking around him.

'Did you really think I hadn't noticed you? Especially after that ludicrous stunt with the cab earlier? By the light, you people get dumber by the day.'

[3] 971 wasn't a resistance hero for no reason, and he has no intention of letting this fool keep talking. Though he has no proper melee weapons at his disposal, he knows how to use his body as a weapon. 971 aims a quick punch at Fashuk's knee.

[Dodge:4] The smuggler steps to the side calmly, as if mocking him. [6] 'Nice try, but...' he starts again. Big mistake. Professionals don't talk when fighting. [Dodge:4] Fashuk jumps back from the sudden kick, this time seeming actually surprised by the attack. 971 uses the chance to stand back up. He needs to get back to a distance he can use his gun or the Traps from.

[4-1=3] Fashuk lunges forward rather clumsily. [Dodge:5] 971 dodges his charge with ease.

Enemies

Spoiler: Fashuk (click to show/hide)

Spoiler: Dwarmin (click to show/hide)

Zara
COntinue the attack, adn finish him off.

[2][5] - Zara counter-attacks. [Dodge:5-2=3] The soldier raises his arm to take the force of the blow. [Damage:6-9=0] His armour holds despite the howling teeth of the Mechanical Blade. The soldier forces it to the side, where it slams against the stairway wall. [1+2=3] He doesn't stop there, turning his body to strike with his other hand and the Knife in it instead. [Dodge:2+2-1=3] Zara is too slow again, having to move the clumsy Mechanical Blade back. [Damage:2-3=0] Fortunately, the Knife doesn't manage to deal any real damage either.

[6+2=6] The guard strikes again, [Dodge:1+2-1=2] and again Zara fails to block or dodge, despite being invisible. [Damage:7] He's unlikely to die from these cuts, but they still hurt like hell. [4] Zara brings the Mechanical Blade up and executes a quick horizontal slice, [Dodge:3-2=1] which catches the Guard completely by surprise. [Damage:23+9=32] It's a clean cut - to the extent possible with a chainblade - and the Republican Guard is cut in two.

[5] Zara pauses to listen for a while, but it doesn't seem anybody heard the combat. Which is good - he doesn't want to fight another soldier like this one.

Spoiler: adwarf (click to show/hide)

Achutugu-osha
"...Why not just ask for an appointment?"
Suggest this, do it even if others decide to do something else. If they decide to do other things, warn the casino guards that they are.

[1] - Achutugu thinks about suggesting just asking for an appointment, but doesn't have time for it. The group begins a loud argument, which ends with it splitting into three. One will try going through the front door and shooting their way into the owner's office, one will try to enter through the roof and one through the sewers. She's free to decide which group to go with, or think up her own way inside.

[2] Achutugu also thinks about revealing the others' plans to the guards to cut down on the competition, but she'd have to get away from the others first.

Spoiler: choobakka (click to show/hide)

---

Zara's and the Guard's fight was pretty funny. 0 Damage! 0 Damage! Dwarmin, I'm just gonna say running away is an option here. Or just getting far away to fire the Flare Gun or throw a Grav Trap. In melee, you don't stand a chance.

Akhain nods at the pilot. "Okay." Smiling slightly, he climbs into the starship, checking all of his gear.

By the way, my actual intention was pretend to be betraying the Regime, while actually betraying Father Kosh... essentially playing the triple agent, using my status as an Old Regime Operative to gain this mans trust, lead him to a secure location, and hand him over to the New Regime. They also wanted him alive, didn't they? Although, if Father Kosh has a better offer to make, I could be persuaded to betray the new Regime... I'm in it for the money, taking the easiest route possible. Getting him to trust me is the best option. Aside from getting him to pay me more...

No. I've listed most/all of the weapons and explosives earlier, so I can show all of those you. But otherwise, pick a category. Sorry, but I'm not planning on converting everything there is to a list for you. That would triple the time needed for updating.

Gao stopped. He had only one weapon that would be effective at this range, so he raised the carbine and aimed along it. It would only take a few well-placed bullets to bring it down. Once he was sure he had a bead, he started firing.

Faking a suicide isn't my bag, and 5k is chump change.  Let's see what the Sikhet want, then off to the black market.

Meet the Sikhet contact.  Head to the Black Market afterwards for devices and implants, and anything else that helps with bypassing locks or making me faster.

971 didn't mind dying. It was just losing that made him mad.

Get out of the range of that knife, then shoot at him Flare gun! If I stun him, disarm him.

OOC: Ouch, half my health in one blow. And I'm unarmed. I think I'll be the first death. :(

Taric Taiservi
Browse through the weapon selection, setting the price limit at 15,000 credits.

[4] - Taiservi checks out weapons under 15 000¤.

Spoiler: Weapons (click to show/hide)

Spoiler: Taricus (click to show/hide)

Akhain Gazhorn
Akhain nods at the pilot. "Okay." Smiling slightly, he climbs into the starship, checking all of his gear.

[4] - Akhain heads up the landing ramp into the starship. The whole thing seems dreamlike. It's not something you'd expect to see in some run-down warehouse by the river. He studies the thing's insides - lots of gaudy ornaments and gold, a makeshift, obviously home-made stimsim alcove and an actual grand piano nailed down to the floor. It looks it's been re-decorated at some point, the previous furniture torn off and thrown away. He guesses it used to be a private shuttle, probably for heads-of-state or such. The old hull has been strenghtened by scrap metal at seemingly random points. Though the doors to the engine are locked, this thing probably has a jump drive of some kind and is capable of lenghty interstellar flight.

[1] He's not familiar enough with human history to determine how old the ship is.

Akhain settles down onto a comfy red sofa installed into the corner. The woman heads into the cockpit. The bounty hunter listens to the click and hum of the thrusters and the hiss of the engine. Slowly but surely, the starship begins to gain height and rises out of the warehouse. Akhain looks out of the window at the sprawling cityscape spreading around them. The ship leaves the city quickly behind, and soon disappears into the thick cloudcover approaching from the east. Gazhorn soon gives up trying to make out anything, confident that Jinan is guiding them to the right direction. The reassuring hum of the thrusters soon causes him to falls asleep.

[2] He snaps out of his stupor, though he's not sure how much time has passed. The woman's voice comes from the cockpit, though he can't make out what she's saying. He looks out of the window. The ship has stopped above a small town, strange. Akhain doesn't know where they are. Perhaps he should ask the pilot or check somewhere.

Spoiler: Talarion (click to show/hide)

Systar
Meet the Sikhet contact.  Head to the Black Market afterwards for devices and implants, and anything else that helps with bypassing locks or making me faster.

[5] - Systar cleans up and eats quickly. The Federation generally pays well. He catches a cab to the starport.

The Sikhet man arrives right on time. He sits next to Systar and drops a sealed file into his lap. Then he leaves. It's understandable. They have no intention of causing a diplomatic incident by hiring bounty hunters on the planet. Systar opens up the file and reads the files contained within.

He has to admit he's flattered. The Sikhet Federation trust his skills enough for a job like this. He reads the files again, just to make sure. The target is no other than Consul Mona yl Vsiri, the charismatic head of the entire new regime. She probably is the most highly-guarded person on the planet. There's a few tips and info about her, and the bounty is 50 000¤, but Systar isn't entirely sure he's capable of this. There's instructions - written in the most insulting tone possible - if he wants to turn down the mission.

Systar looks around. There's probably half a dozen Sikhet agents nearby to make sure he doesn't give the files to the regime or leave them lying around. Knowing the Federation, the files will probably self-destruct somehow after a while anyhow.

Spoiler: Toaster (click to show/hide)

Gaosaron
Gao stopped. He had only one weapon that would be effective at this range, so he raised the carbine and aimed along it. It would only take a few well-placed bullets to bring it down. Once he was sure he had a bead, he started firing.

[1] - Gao stumbles and nearly falls. He doesn't get a chance to fire. [3]vs[8+1=9] The beast turns for an almost mocking look, and jumps off the platform and disappears. Fuck. He might not find the thing ever again. All this might have been for nothing.

[2] - 971 tries to back away, but Fashuk grabs him by the arm and throws him down. [4-1=3] Fashuk attacks again, aiming for the fallen 971's throat. [Dodge:5] 971 drops his head and the burning blade flashes past. [6] He brings his knee up [Dodge:4] but Fashuk is already standing. 971 follows his example. The two men circle eachother, looking for a break in the other's defense or a chance to get out of melee range.

Zara
"May you soul rest with god." Zara says as he continues on his way to the archive

[3] - Zara walks down into the archives. The basement is filled with blocky databanks all linked together. Zara heads over to a terminal and, after a while of fiddling with the controls, starts up a complete wipe of the entire database. He ignores the system's defenses - he'll be long gone when anyone notices anything.

Of course, right at that moment alarms begins wailing everywhere across the building. Oops?

[5] He should have some time to prepare before the guards arrive. Too bad he didn't take any mines with him.

Spoiler: adwarf (click to show/hide)

Achutugu-osha
Through the front gate! Achu kept a hand on her revolver and pistol and held her shotgun in her combat arms, just in case.

[6] - Achu follows the shooter-group with her weapons ready. There's five of them in this group. [4] They march into the casino lobby confidently, displaying their weapons openly. If any of the visitors notice, they don't show it. The staff do notice, though they don't seem that surprised, more annoyed. Maybe they think you're simple gangers. They talk into their commbeads, calling for security.

The group seems to be at loss at what to do. Nobody's trying to stop them yet, and it would be rude just to start shooting civilians. Again a chance for Achutugu to offer advice!
