Head out to meet the contact at the bar for mission #4.  Take Thermal Blade, Aurora Revolver, Visor, and Beacon.

The visor and beacons don't take up any slots. I thought I said that already.

You did.  I was intentionally leaving the other two empty (my next stop was the black market) but I'll just run with it for now.  Retcon in (or just have me go grab) the gravity trap and the cloaking device.

Hmm... another bounty hunter.  Not quite the payday I was looking for, but I should have enough gear on me to knock this out right quick.  Need to restock my gear and I'll go stake him out.   I can hit the market after this.

Easy payday- hopefully the good stuff will be coming to me.

Grab gravity trap and cloaking device (unless you retcon).  Then go stake out the address given to me, ideally from another rooftop.

(Double post ahoy!  Was trying to get that post in before I got called away, and failed.  Sorry for the delay.)

The railgun's a sniper rifle, essentially.  I could use it on my mission (rooftop to rooftop snipe) but if I missed, I'd never get another chance.  I'll just figure out a good way to enter and kill him from short range.  If you try to take out a target at range and miss, you better have a backup plan.

Akhain squinted at the equipment. It was all... average. But they did have the one thing he needed; A cloaking device! At just a low enough price for his funds, too. "I'll take this... Zuche 3 Cloaking Device. It seems perfect for my needs." He flashed a quick grin, showing his pointed canines at the salesman, and produced the money required for the device.

Ah, alright. You can still head over to the black market before the rooftops, if you want to.

EDIT: Alright, updating. Sorry, timezones are a bitch and I don't have time to wait for you.

EDIT 2: Gaosaron doesn't actually have a Flare Gun. That's Revolutionary gear, you'll have to buy it. I'll let you retcon in something else, like with Systar.

Taric Taiservi
Flank him, He'll learn not to extort the people for his own gain.

[2] - Taric strides down the stairs to the bottom of the street and begins making his way towards the other end of the tenements. If Cain's going through his usual routine, he should spot him soon enough. Taiservi keeps moving, but Cain or anyone even vaguely threatening is nowhere to be seen. Some idle workers stand around chatting or leave for the factories. Finally, after reaching the end of the path, Taric walks back up to the platform. He manages to take two steps before he comes face-to-face with a short, fanged alien, who's just come from inside the next apartment in the column. His face lights up with surprise when he sees you. Another ganger pushes through the door, and you think there are atleast two more inside. The doorway ganger carries a Widowmaker, and your visor shows weapons on the first one as well. It also identifies the first man as Cain.

Better think fast.

Zuche 3 Cloaking Device. It seems perfect for my needs." He flashed a quick grin, showing his pointed canines at the salesman, and produced the money required for the device.

[3] - Akhain takes the Cloaking Device, paying in cash. You can never know with the black market. He messes around with the controls for a while. Everything seems to be working, good.

Spoiler: Talarion (click to show/hide)

Systar
Grab gravity trap and cloaking device (unless you retcon).  Then go stake out the address given to me, ideally from another rooftop.

[4] - Systar checks the remaining gear he took with him - [2] two Gravity Traps and the Zuche Cloaking Device. Satisfied, he calls another cab, this time heading to the Old District. He looks up a map of the area online while on the way, searching the area around Milic's apartment for a good watching point. [5] He lives in the first of two linked, luxurious hotels. Systar could watch his apartment from the roof of the other building. That way he could also get quickly to Milic's tower, by heading across the bridge that links them together.

[4] Systar is dropped off at the bottom of the second tower. An express elevator waits in the lobby, and Systar, not wanting to waste any time, takes it to the highest level possible. After wandering around the maze-like floor for a few minutes, though, the mercenary discovers the stairway up to the roof waits behind a locked door. The plaque above it proclaims the roof off-limits to visitors. [1] The lock isn't even electronic, though, and looks rather shoddy. It shouldn't be too difficult to open, if brute force was used.

Gaosaron
"I suppose I'll just have to head there." Gao put on his visor. Since I'll have no idea what I'm hunting, I should prepare for all-range combat. He took the Widowmaker, the Mechanical Blade, the Target Beacon, and the Flare Gun - just in case the quarry could be sold alive. From the shop, he ordered the NTT Inferno and a pair of clips for it (8000+2400=10400. 20000-10400=9600 credits left) and arranged for them to be ready to be picked up on his way to the factory. Finally, he shut the console down and left to get his new purchases.

[3] - Gao orders up the Inferno SMG and two clips, looking up a suitable drop point near the Industrial District. [6] He takes his Widowmaker and plenty of ammunition for it and the chainblade, and whatever else he can carry. After he's done, Gao sits down and waits for his black market contact confirm the drop. Finally, he calls a cab and heads over to take the Inferno. He finds it in less than pristine condition, but that is to be expected from a weapon that's no longer even manufactured. It seems to work alright, though. Should be good enough to take down some alien beast.

[1] The taxi drops him off at the Steelworks, where the message came from. Gao doesn't have to go far to come across a familiar stench. After a few minutes of searching, he finds a body hidden under a waste pipe. She's been ripped apart and then tossed here like a ragdoll. Gao checks for ID, and recognizes the name from the message he got. Hopefully, the others will still be alive so they can pay him.

The kill is still fresh, so this thing can't have gotten far. The Steelworks are a vast area, full of criss-crossing catwalks and bridges hanging above great chambers of molten metal - admittedly shielded by force fields in case someone falls, though they are easy to shut down - and crowded with all kinds of strange machinery. There's a million possible hiding places here. It's the perfect home for this predator. Few workers are yet present, walking in pairs or groups to break rooms and such.

[5] Gaosaron lets his Visor do the work for him, and scans the area. The small dent marks on the wall are apparently the tracks of this beast, but there's no way he could follow it up there. The tracks end at a maintenance bridge high up, and it's impossible to tell how to get there without blueprints of the building complex. A security station juts out from the wall opposite Gao, across a flimsy-looking catwalk. He could break in and check the records and security cameras there for any sight of the creature.

Subject 971
Quote
3xFlare Gun ammo= $1350
1xZuche 13 Gravity Trap=$2000

Current Funds=$5000
Total Expenditure=3350
Funds Remaining=$1650

Action: While I wait for the weapon drop outside my apartment, research my target-I already know where he lives, need to know where he lives, so check out archived news reports. Any suspicious behavior? What's been happening in the cases he's been presiding over lately? What sort of place does he live in?

[6] - 971 digs in to local news services, databases and public and private records, looking for any mention of this judge, Tegarr Jonn. He looks through as many sources as he can find, but after a good fifteen minutes of searching, he hasn't found anything hinting at corruption or anything illegal. He seems like the perfect example of a fair - if somewhat brutal judge. There's an increase of death penalties in the cases he rules over, but the crimes were also severe in all cases. Finally, 971 calls his friends in the new regime and asks for information about Tegarr. Surprisingly, they sing his praises, proclaiming him one of the best men they have out there, and a good friend.

Yeah, something definitely isn't right here. Perhaps he should ask Tegarr himself about this, or confront the people who sent the offer.

While he's thinking about that, the doorbell rings. 971 recognizes the two tusked aliens as his old contacts and opens the door. The Flare Gun ammuniton and Gravity Trap await inside a sealed package. Excellent service, as always. [1] The ammo is needed - he only had one shot left for the Flare Gun anyhow.

Spoiler: Dwarmin (click to show/hide)

Zara
" If I can get in good relations with the crime rings of this world I would unlock massive networks of intelliegence specialists, new blackmarket dealers, and maybe even favors from the crime bosses themselves, so I am going to take that mission." said Zra as he grabbed his Visor, Cloaking Device, Beacon, Medkit, Golgo Blade, and the Widowmaker

[6] Zara sends a message back to Mr. yl Mocth, accepting the job. Then it's time to prepare. [1] He takes his only Medkit in case things get out of hand, his beloved Cloaking Device, the Mechanical Blade and the Widowmaker, [2] with two clips.

[2] He looks from the maps where the CSC HQ is - by the river - and heads over there. He checks the place out from across the street. The building is just a grey, three-level house, standing in the shadows of the Old District's skyscrapers. Armoured Republican Guards stand guard at the entrance, chatting with eachother or staring idly into the crowded street. An APC sits behind them. They look distracted, good.

Zara looks for possible ways in, but his current location doesn't offer a very good view. There's the front gate, if he could somehow bluff his way in through the guards. The building is protected by barbed wire - atleast on the front side. The river could be a potential route in, but it's way too strong for swimming. There's probably plenty of boats around.

Spoiler: adwarf (click to show/hide)

Achutugu-osha
Look for anyone wearing a tinfoil helmet or other mind-control-blocking device. They should be sympathetic to my cause.

[2] To Achutugu's surprise, nobody seems to be wearing any psychically protective gear. They're as ignorant as anyone else. Unless they're ALL Illuminati agents. Before she can think on that further, though, the doors open and a short human woman comes out to lead the bounty hunters to an walled yard. A bulky troop transport sits waiting nearby. [1] The woman walks over to a projector and a screen they've set up and begins talking. Achutugu is too busy looking for signs of the Illuminati to listen. There are cameras everywhere, and those soldiers are looking at her a little too focusedly.

She does hear some of the briefing. The target is a man called Slomon yl Eos, the 'Butcher of Victory Plaza', whoever that is. He's extremely dangerous, protected by blah blah blah. She tunes out again. Finally, the briefing ends and the woman tells everyone an address and a time. Achutugu should probably go back home and pick her gear before heading out there.

Check for a sewer system I could use to sneak in, and if one is non existant go find, and hijack a boat using it to sneak in to the base.

@Digital: Eh, the pot should have been sweeter. :P
-----------------------
971 realized his contacts were lying to him, or withholding information. That, along with the general dodginess and insulting pay...mistake. Theirs.

He decided to ring up this judge-maybe he would get a job after all...

Action: 971 contacts the judge and informs him there is a person or group of persons seeking his death. Ask Tegarr, or my friends in the new regime, how much it would be worth to them for me to deal with these people.

Ah, I see. I must've looked down a bit too much when browsing the list. I'll retcon that into the RUS2 Accelerator Carbine then, might as well go full-lethal.

Gao looked up at where the beast had climbed up. Looks like it's too far to fly. I'll have to find another way. There was a security station nearby; he'd just go over and ask politely if he could view the blueprints. If they didn't want to show him, he would remind them that he was here to solve their problem with the predator. If they still didn't want to show him the blueprints - or no one was in there - he would kick down the door and look around for them.

Hmm... locks.  Note to self- get some B&E gear.  This one's crap, though- it'll break like a cheap knife.

Quietly break the lock, then move in to survey the target.

Just waiting for choobakka now.

Well, I'll start writing the turn now. I'm sure he'll post before I get to his character.

EDIT: It's all done now, expect for choobakka. First taste of combat this turn, go Taric! I bet he'd like to know what happened.
