A TIME TELESCOPE.
"That sounds like a nifty idea. I'll have one of those, then."
The man reaches into his coat and pulls out a telescope. "Here you go. You adjust these dials on the side to select a time, and then close it to travel there. Please don't leave yet, though."

"часы, или, может быть ушанка." Either a watch or a fur hat for it.
"You will prefer the hat. You just think of when you want to go and pull down on the earflaps."

Jack thought for a second then said " I want mine to be a ball point pen. " that was the best thing he could think of since it was small, and extremely easy to hide if need be plus he could write with it.
The professor pulls a pen out of his pockets. "There. You twist these bands, and then double-click the thing at the top."

"A simple seal with my families crest would do nicely, it wouldn't be too noticeible and it's small." Matthius said without hesitation, he was still confused about this 'time travel' thing, but he put his trust in the gods to guide him through whatever comes.
"Here. It's a ring. You twist the rings on the top, and then press down on the crest."

Emma blinked, looking around with wide eyes. The last thing she remembered was taking cover with Jim behind a boulder out in the middle of nowhere. Frank and Bill had already gotten caught, but damned if the two of them weren't gonna go down shooting. "Well, don't this sure beat all," she said. "I ain't never seen a place lookin' like this." Wonder how I got here? At about that time a man came in, introducing himself as 'The Professor' and saying they were here because of a mix-up in space and time. This was a bit over her head, so she just blinked and said nothing. Still... her companions in the room did dress a bit oddly. "This some kinda trick, mister?" she asked with a raised eyebrow. "'Cause I don't know nothing about no... space-time continuum." She looked around again. Everyone did look kinda funny. Only one person was looking remotely normal, and he was dressed way too warmly for California. Well, the youngster was looking a bit old-fashioned, but nothing wrong with that.

She adjusted her left suspender strap - it was starting to rub against her shoulder painfully - and thought about his question. "Time-travelin' device, huh? Whatever we want?" Easy way to see if he's lyin', then. She crossed her legs and leaned back in her chair. "All right, my daddy's pocket watch." I betcha don't got it. My daddy never lets it out of his sight. She and her momma had picked it out for him for his thirtieth birthday when she was younger than the kid to her right, and she remembered it vividly; gold casing with a silver dove on the front, and a thin silver chain on it to keep it attached to his pocket.

He smiles. "Here, ma'am." He pulls out the pocket watch. "It's the exact same one you got for your daddy. It's a little older than the one you bought, but it's the same one." He hands it to you. It is indeed the same one. Right down to the name scratched in the inside. "You just move around the hands, and press down on the dove."

"I want a watch. It blends in, yknow?" Smile slightly at The Professor and think 'There's probably some old show from before the flood about something similar to this...
He takes the watch off his wrist and hands it to you. "Just turn the hands with this little dial and press the button on the other side."

You hear a loud noise, and a light bump. The professor says, "We're here. This is our headquarters. Welcome to.." He throws the door open "Atlantis!" You walk out and look around. There are people who look like they're from all periods in history walking around. There's a man in a toga talking with a cyborg; a knight and a neanderthal sitting at a table together; all sorts of styles of dress. Different styles of architecture, too - you're in the center of a big city. You all look up at the skyscrapers, and notice something else: This city is underwater. There's a giant dome covering it. The professor sees your shocked expressions, and laughs. "In the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. Around your time, Mr Leroe. Two miles of water above us. You can only reach this with teleportation devices." He leads you to a building in the style of 20th century offices. "Here's the headquarters of the Temporal Stability Commission. We take care of the timeline. Your appointment isn't for a couple hours - I wanted to give you some time to take everything in. You can explore the city if you want. Just be back here soon."

"A city underwater?" Emma asked herself, looking up at the roof. She'd been to the coast on occasion, if only to knock over a store in a port town, but she'd never considered the idea of seeing the ocean from below instead of above. May be somethin' to Mister Professor's story after all. She looked at the watch and clicked it open. Yep, right there on the inside: "To Donald. Love, Francine and Emma." She didn't mess with the hands yet; who knew where she'd end up if she just started playing with the thing irresponsibly! She wanted to adjust to the current situation first. Her spurs jangled softly as she strolled around the large area they had been escorted to.

After a few moments she hooked her thumbs in the waistband of her jeans and turned to the one the Professor had called Leroe. "Howdy," she said. "My name's Emma." She didn't stand on formality, but she thought it'd only be good manners to tell him her name before she asked him anything. "You know about this space and time malarkey, right? What did he mean when he said 'your time?'"

I love it how I'm the only one without a translator and hence cannot understand what the others say. (no sarcasm)

Unless Isaac knew Latin and Russian. Still, no talking to adwarf I guess.

Look around the city to explore, and perhaps find someone who can explain this magic to me.

You have a translator. And there's no proof you didn't always have one.

Adrian stepped out, and turned around as the girl spoke, to him apparently. "Hello... My name is Adrian. Adrian Leroe. About the space travel... there was a theory flying around that I had the luck to hear before people wouldn't say anything about it, that Space/Time Travel accesible by breaking dimensions and entering the space outside dimensions could possibly cause a reverse singularity, thus warping the continuum, requiring a large Dark Matter Fusion engine at least, as well as copious amounts of gamma radiation and neutron activation... essentially causing a space/time anomaly which would thus let one travel so fast that they would move BACKWARDS in time... Essentially it allowed time travel. It was just a theory though. As for 'My time', I believe the Professor means that this place is set in the time period where I'm from. The world was flooded; I was born and raised on Everest Island. It would've been a mountain in the past... Probably one of the largest." Adrian shuffled his feet slightly. He was talking to someone from a different time period! It should be physically impossible, but... it was happening.

Emma blinked. "Lordy, stranger, that was a mouthful." Dark matter? Singularity? If the whole situation wasn't strange and if she couldn't tell he hadn't been drinking she would have recommended he hang his hat up for the night. All of this was just beyond her understanding. How could people go back through time? That didn't make a lick of sense! On the other hand, neither did standing in Atlantis, and yet here she was. "Adrian, you said?" That sounds normal at least. She nodded to him and took her hat off, toying with the thin rawhide strap attached to the brim that usually held it against her neck when she pushed it off and let it hang behind her.

"Well, Mister Leroe, I guess it ain't 1885 where you're from." It was a rhetorical statement, for the most part. She was still curious about where he was from, but she decided to leave the poor man alone. He seemed nervous; maybe he didn't have much experience with girls? Or maybe he was just a gentlemanly sort of fella. Either way she didn't want to waste his time, and besides, she was also curious about her surroundings! She could always talk to him when they were somewhere else, like on a train or something like that. For now, she wanted to explore this interesting locale. "I'll catch up with y'all later, take care of yourselves," she said with a wave as she put her hat back on and went looking around. Not searching for anything in particular, just sightseeing.
