a dwarf dies of old age?

Have you ever had a person(dwarf) die of old age in the game. IT doesnt matter when. It could be the adventurer or the fortress mode.

Dwarves die of old age? Wow never seen that death message before. Mainly bled to death, eaten by dragon, starved etc etc.

To be honest, I always thought that dwarves were injected with dragon blood at birth, allowing them to survive for eternity.

But then again, has anyone had a fortress that lasted about a hundred years or so, and kept at least one dwarf alive that entire time?

Oldest I've seen in my forts is 88~.

Raws state they live 150-170...  So, it's possible... but, it's amazing they make it to 12... let alone the ages they wander into the forts at.

I get that message a lot for the inhabitants of my fort...

...who are modded to live to a max of 10-12 years...

I modded my dwarves to a more Tolkien-friendly 300-400. All my dwarves walk around with wrinkley faces and grey beards, being 150 years old on average. I would say having a dwarf die of old age would be a win condition in my fortresses.

I should probably have my head checked, because I find myself in complete agreement with Nikov.

Yeah, it can happen, but it's very very unlikely, unless you're going for a longevity fortress.

That would be one hell of a boring fort. It would probably tantrum spiral just because of the lack of !!FUN!!.

Dwarven Science: We do what we must, because, we're bored.

Every few miles, [the dwarves] stop the cart.  One of the dwarfs (sic) gets off, digs a hole down below the dirt layers, licks the bedrock, and then they know exactly where they are.  It's called GPS: Geological Piquancy Sampling.

Most of the time, it's a matter of setting it up in such a way that it'll run for a long period of time by itself without pausing anything, then letting a computer compile for a bit.
