Massive Quote from the RO2:HoS Fact Thread, Tripwire Forums. Warning. Ugly as hell.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I, for one, am most stoked about the first person cover system (true blind fire, peeling corners, ect) and the first person fully rendered tank interiors (and the ability to shoot out enemy vision blocks).

Tripwire: SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY.

Yeah, I loved RO:OST. My favourite WW2 shooter. If I hear good things this will be an early buy for me.

I've only ever played the RO mod for UT2k4, but this sounds awesome.

Hmm. According to the list of confirmed weapons, the Russians don't get grenades.

"But comrade commissar, these are potatoes!"

Of particular interest to me is the anti-griefing system that sends terribad teamkillers to "penal battallions" where they can only fight on penal servers with other terribad teamkillers. I pity the noob who sees "US Penal Server #4: Ping 32ms" and gets his first impression there.

I suggested every teamkill earns you a bullet jam randomly placed in your next respawning's magazines. Mixed reaction on a forum that usually gets suggestions for jams locked within the first half hour.

Did anybody else got a boner after reading the whole list?
Well no? Dammit then.

Also, this is coming from a guy that hasn't played the first one. This is the real 'realism' game. Well, right after Arma atleast.

pff who cares, RO2 deserves tonnes of threads dedicated to it.

I really liked the suppression mechanic in the first one, and I'm hoping its made all that scarier to be shot at in the new one.

I find it odd that I like to feel helpless in FPSes sometimes.

Regenerating bullet wounds and automatic weapons that don't have recoil isn't for everyone.

Molotov cocktails, perhaps?

"But comrade commisar, you're ordering us to throw precious vodka at the invaders!"

I do like the proposed anti-griefing system, though.

I did hear something about Anti-tank grenades being in the game, that would be pretty cool.

Still skeptical about the whole leveling up/griefing thing, it's one of those things I'm just going to have to judge on when I actually sexperience it.

Sigh... I have lost all faith... time to suicide.

I'm back from my suicide, every time I tried my head just kept regenerating. Fucking stupid shotguns need a buff plox.

Lies. In WW2 you would have been shot for wasting precious resources!
