Hello, fellow DF players. I'm new to the DF forums, but I've played DF for several months now and I'm very good with the controls of the game. I'm too lazy to bother with a succession game, but I can certainly log the painful cries of my prisoners
For today and until the fortress falls (or I feel like turning it into a succession game), I've decided to share a game of DF with you. I've just embarked, and I'll post pictures and flesh out the story soon.
The fortress' name is known as Fencedfrenzy. The reason why is because when dwarves want to name something, they just say whatever comes off the top of their heads. And the dwarf that named this off the top of his head is the king himself, who has commissioned a fortress to contain the very worst dwarves of the land. Inspired by being bored, having Dwarf Fortress in front of me, and talking to my friend over the internet, we embark to a Terrifying ocean known to have sea monsters and even zombified fish scattered about it, and several challenges await us. What will we do about that aquifer to get to the underground caves? Why do we have
so many cats? Where did all the prisoner's booze go? What will that crazy warden do next? Find out in the chronicles of

By coincidence, I noticed a succession game that's also a prison right on the front page. This let's play is completely unrelated. Also, it has zombie whales that swim on land and an aquifer. If you can, post tips on dealing with aquifers; I haven't played on a map with one before.
Now, of course, here are the dares my friend and I have come up with for Fencedfrenzy:
1. Start off with a Terrifying (high evil and savagery) Temperate Ocean bordering the fortress, hoping for zombie whales that swim on land to pop up (although the land itself is Untamed Wilds, so no skeletal honey badgers and bears for me; although that WAS the second option).
2. No warriors on embark
3. The fortress has been commissioned by the King himself to be a prison
4. The prisoners will be the migrants, although some of the more useful migrants may be drafted as slaves or designated as guards and helpers
5. The prisoners will be kept away from all booze, but they will have a cistern to drink from
6. Elves must die; they are hypocrites and sell nothing useful
7. The fortress will trap as many zombie whales that swim on land as possible
8. Spike pits and pits full of zombie whales that swim on land
9. Spike pits with zombie whales that swim on land
10. If the prisons are full, prisoners may be killed (you may request yourself to not be buried (or killed in the first place) so that your ghost may haunt the prison)
11. The land includes an aquifer
12. All useless animals shall be sacrificed to the blood god in the spike pits
13. Embark with 1 male cat and a dozen lady cats
14. All the prisoners will have the nickname Rasputin. This guarantees a lengthy death sequence for them. I will still overwrite the nickname for forum members.
15. The lucky dwarf that becomes the Warden may make policies and demands
16. The prisoners may conspire to dig down and out. How deep is up to you.
With those policies underway, let's make like a dwarf and show who we have brought on embark.
