I'd so go for it, Imofexios. On its own, Towns is a brilliant indie project, a city-builder with a scope and scale that rivels the upcoming Sim City 5 if for no other reasons than you can actually control what's going on with the villagers.

Throw in the 'Majesty'-like random Heroes that you can only influence instead of controlling as they go off and do their own thing, and you have a game that I've spent close to 90+ hours with already.  If nothing eles, its worth the value of it.

Being in developement still, Towns also gets new features, balancing changes, and an active community to keep things interesting.  The rest is up to you, Imofexios.

Towns is a great game indeed !
But to me, something is really missing : a job system for civilians. They always go deep inside the dungeon to get a sock and put it in the stockpile to get killed by some monster or die of hunger while they could cook food or do useful stuff instead.

Except for that, I had a great time playing this game.

there are two things i would like to see implemented in the system.

1: job assignment. the hodgepodge of townies randomly working is really annoying i wish i had the ability to tell this guy to do one thing.

2: fear system. seriously, if im walking unarmed and some spear-holding gremlin walks up to me, im running the fuck away. I can already assign guards so i don't need vigilante justice :P

Also quick question, how do i bury my corpses? im getting gangbanged more by my former vigilantes than toadies.

You build a tombstone with rock, I think it's in the outdoors decorations screen.

Or just hit "destroy", until they remove that feature/hack.

Civilians running headlong to their deaths is one of the things that's kept me from playing this game even though I've bought it. It's an annoying deal breaker for me, and I'm kinda sad to see that it's still in.

Ditto. I haven't really given any time to this game in months because of this.

The first thing I do is make armour and weapons for all my guys.

That pretty much solves the problem with toads.

We will probably solve this by having a some sort of prohibited territories designation or items that "scare" certain type of entities from getting near them.
