It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

Happiness --> Likes/Dislikes/Personalities --> Tantrum Spiral?

>.>

Honestly, more games do need Tantrum Spirals.

Tantrum spirals are funny, for sure!

Actually these things makes happiness rise:
1) Eat
2) Eat in a dining room
3) Sleep
4) Sleep in a personal room
5) Idle time

In any other case hapiness will decrease.

At the end of each day happiness average it's checked, and, if sufficiently high and personal rooms available, immigrants will come.

Anyway, citizens doesn't go mad at low level happiness (for the moment).
Of course, this is just the first happiness engine version. Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

Towns 0.20 has been released!

Changelog
- Change: Items in a wrong stockpile are hauled
- Change: Citizens doesn't haul items if exists enemies around the item
- Add: Full moddable enemies
- Add: Full moddable items
- Add: Moddable map generator
- Add: Sieges!
- Fix: Minor bug fixes

Notes
This version comes with 7 citizens.
Every item, building, enemy, terrain and the map generation are now full moddable. It means that you can edit almost every single thing of the game, you can change the game completely and convert it into a Zombies game! ... or into a space game.... or into.......

I have to document it, but, if you take a look at the .xml files into the 'data' folder, you'll see that it's pretty easy and intuitive.

Hope you like it.

I've been playing, but crashing after 5 minutes or so every time.  seems to be related to the "building" menu, while on the 1st level below ground?  at least, the 2 times it crashed thats the time it did.

i didnt have any problems with 0.19

I just started playing this, and I have a rather strange question. How do I make the level below my citizens accessable?

Edit: Nevermind, I figured it out.

As it turns out, the pen was in fact a poor choice for melee combat in comparison to the sword.
So I just started playing this game and I accidentally nuked the moon.

Hi,

Room rules:
- You can't build in the first level
- They need a minimum size of 6 cells
- They must be, at least, 2 cells wide
- They can't be created over other rooms neither a place without roof

Military:
- Each barrack allows you to convert 5 citizens into soldiers
- A soldier doesn't work like citizens, they just eat, sleep and kill enemies

Iron armor/weapons needs iron and coal to be builded. If you doesn't mined coal, for sure it must be dropped by killing a spider (everybody knows that spiders have coal, wood and iron inside :) it's configurable, don't worry).

Hope this helps you!

Reminds me of the Dwarf Fortress in-game music; done with a mic and guitar, nothing else. Me likey :D

If you have someone adept in editing music, try to get them to remove the background fuzz and normalize it a bit :)

That's the normalized and edited file ! :)
I'm just testing and learning a little about sound edition. I'm using Audacity 1.3 because it's free and seems pretty easy.

Probaly I will use that file for Towns 0.21, at least until my kids return to school because at the moment it's nearly impossible to find a moment of silence at home :P

Thanks to post.

Have you followed any programming tutorial? If so, can you please lead me to it? once completed a "start C++ with allegro" tut, just not the allegro part. I really want to get started with programming again and forgot everything but some QBASIC..
