I hope it wont take long, but i just seen that they announced a new indie royale, so that might slow them down a bit.

Out of curiosity, has there been any thought about playing towns on a television from a couch?  I've moved my PC recently to the living room and been enjoying gaming from there, but a lot of games use really small fonts, which makes it hard.  I don't have towns yet so I don't know how small the fonts are in it, but it might be worth thinking about.

Levi, honestly we never thought about playing it on T.V. Fonts are pretty smallish and we dont have an ingame option to change it yet.

Well, We have just released Patch v6.

In this patch we have reworked the sieges so they now take other factors than just population size (Town value, Level of heroes, Days since town founded). the sieges are also mixed now, so expect to see sieges with large number of smaller level enemies led by a higher level ones.

We have also added raides of smaller groups that try to steal food or livestock.

I am confused.

I bought the game without ever having to create an account at the towns site or forum. Do I just need to bookmark the BMTMicro page if I ever want to download it in the future or what?

Yeah, you go to the link provided in the original email and download it from there everytime a new version comes up.

I've just got around to start this...

I just barely managed to make a sustainable town, by balancing migrants and people getting killed by the three huggerskeepers.

now, I just want to know: is there any pressure in scaling up to better weapons, or I can expect to be relatively safe until I pass some kind of threshold in population/richness/stuff?

AFAIK planting always worked in a line since 0.4x. You can till in a box, but not plant.

I have no trouble designating a large area to chop trees. Fruit trees however will only work if they have been gathered first.

If you want to keep designating hold shift.

Also you could be trying to be designating in the wrong Z-level (like, you're actually boxing the air above the trees, instead of the view being at the tree level).

I just noticed that Towns is on steam now.  Is it finished?  The steam store page seems to indicate it is.  If so I might have to pick it up soon.   :D

Edit:  Those are some nice screenshots on the store page too!

It is not finished but it is still great. They continue to update and address issues fairly regularly and I for one will be purchasing it again to support it(even though I think they said they will give all previous customers a STEAM code).

For the previous owners steam keys, should I presume its just "Wait for us to get it all sorted and ready from Valve"?
