Hey, we have just released towns 0.47.

In this update we have added traps, which can trigger different effects from bleeding, slowing, stunning and confusing the monsters.
We have added more skills to the heroes, high tier golden/silver military items, improved the hero's exploration routines and added the base for diseases (there is only one infectious disease right now, the lycanthropy) there are also few bug fixes and other improvements to the code.

you can see the patch notes here: http://www.townsgame.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=1420

There are few caravans types, depending on which edge of the map you connect your market stall to with a road. (you can have all 4)

Each caravan will deal with different themes of fixed and random items, some of them exclusive to the caravans (As in, unobtainable in any other way). for example, the dwarven steam operated caravan will deal with metal based items, while the northern caravan will deal with furs/animals/tamed beasts

I love seeing this development from you guys. I am always paranoid about games like this slowing after the first major sales success but you guys just keep delivering! Thank you!

Has the military been reworked? One problem I used to run into was once you gave a guy a sword he would run around slashing things until he died.

I second the others though, I am very impressed with how Towns is turning out.

I have to ask, has another gfx artist been hired, or the current one suddenly went super sayian when drawing that? It seems of higher quality than everything I've seen so far!

By the way, the news page(on main site) looks very botched, to me.

No, i am still the only artist.

Well, as i said once in our forums. it takes me X amount of time to paint something which looks nice. it takes me 4x amount of time to paint something which looks nicer, as any other part of the alpha, first i want to put everything in, then i will repaint most of it to look better. it may not be the most efficient method but thats how it rolls.

The soldiers have been reworked. the regular guard duty is basically an on alert task. they only go and rush to help other townies/soldiers that are under attack.

The patrol duty is what it sounds, they just patrol along designated flags.

The supervisors are going from townie to townie and yelling at them to make them work and run faster. they, however, reduce the townies happiness as they yell at them.

That might be an issue with chrome, as I don't have it with firefox or ie. Also, the survival instinct of everyone got an overhaul in 0.46 I believe. They now run away and recover when wounded.

What I meant by botched.
Same thing for me, also Chrome. Not a big deal I suppose, I have Firefox installed all the time anyway.
