Well i've got into SC2 again recently and was talking to a friend on DFchat. This brought us to the conclusion it might be good for us to have a Bay12 SC2 tournament!

The format would follow common tournament rules, of which will be stated in detail if there are enough people who want to take part. Essentially you would get randomly placed in a group, or alternatively against an opponent.

-All skill levels are welcome, this is primary aimed at the 'fun factor' not a serious competition.
-There are no 'tryouts', if you have a pulse, you're in. How far you get is up to you!
-The winner will have the right to put 'Winner of the Bay12 SC2 Tournament 2011' on his signature for all time 
  I would put up a small prize for winning, unfortunately I'm dirt poor(as in absolutely no money poor).
If anyone wants to pledge a donation of Terraria or some such as the prize, I would not refuse this
Depending on how long it takes for us to gather together enough people, I may be able to provide a prize myself!

Right now, I'll be accepting signups for the tournament, depending on how many we get will depend on the exact tournament structure!

Europe accounts and US accounts will have to play separately. Unless you can get a friend to lend you your account for the day!! whichever you wish.

Note to players: Remember save(autosaves usually) your replays and send them to me when you've done a match! I will need them!

IMPORTANT - Do not reveal the result of your game, Fluffy will do this in the cast. Revealing it before the cast is released would ruin it for people who haven't seen it, and will result in the disqualification of that match!

What server will this be on? Because I'm fairly sure EU players can't play against NA or SEA players without buying another copy. Either way, I sign up either as a player or a caster. Or both if I'm allowed. Good idea

People cant play outside their area? that blows! Still, im sure we can work around it somehow if thats the case, IE a europe league and american league and/or lending of accounts temporarily (Probably mine) for the finals.

Added as player, casting would be good also!

*also based on the US/EU query.... It might be useful to post your region aswell for future reference!

**It looks like were going to have regional groups - due to the limitations of SC2 not allowing for trans-region games :/ It may be possible to have the finals done by lending an account for the game. If the players are in differet regions that is.

Yeah, Actiblizzard like to eat your money. I'm a primarily SEA based player. I've got an NA account as well, so I can jump on there too. I think most accounts came with a free NA account, but I don't think EU did. I'm not sure.

Anyway, as a kind of 'look-at-me-I'm-popular-lol', here's a link to my SC2 team's page. We're one of the biggest in the SEA scene, some of our players are sponsored and all that cool stuff. Personally, I'm absolutely shit, and I'd do better as a caster than a player, but there you go. My video quality is almost perfect at 720p. Think something like Husky's or HD's. But yeah, food for thought I guess. Not sure why I went on this tangent, to be honest.

Sounds like you'd be perfect as the caster! also nice clan there    Hopefully we can get alot more people to take part so maybe there are some I can beat 

*also, does anyone know - if you lend an account, does the person have to download the EU or US version of the game? or can they just sign in on the EU servers?

I think it's a new client. So yeah, may involve downloading something. I'm not too sure how it all works. My NA/SEA accounts both are accessable from the same client, but as far as I can see theres no way to add a new server to the list. Lending accounts may not be the way to go, either way, because doing so doesn't just give access to the NA/EU/Ect. part of the account, but everything the account is related to on battle.net and all the other Blizzard games. So if you're willing to trust someone with that, sure.
