Speaking of the calculator, what about the guy that made a Turing complete computer? My goodness, that was insane.
I also nominate Deon for his DF mods he's worked on, as well as pixel art he's also done alongside.
Anyone got a link to the whole 'Moral' story? I'm interested.
You mean Morul Cattenmat, right? Gimme a second to find it.
EDIT:
WOO! Got the name correct. A simple search of the name brought me pretty much directly to it. Seems the maker of that legend still has his avatar with Morul's likeness on it.
Presenting: The Most Interesting Dwarf in the World By
Martin.
Actually, you want a good list of ideas, I'd refer to TVTrope's CMoA page for Dwarf Fortress, and also a good look through the community section for DF's trope page while you're at it.
EDIT EDIT:

Can goblin fortress be mentioned for how much brain bleach was required for everyone during and after it's incarnation? :goes into hiding:

Refer here for Boatmurdered:
http://lparchive.org/Dwarf-Fortress-Boatmurdered/It was done in Something Awful, and is archived there, but unreachable to non-archive members (reason for the LPArchive link). They should have credits listed within.

And in case you're wondering, I find it in bad taste to nominate my own work. I leave that to everyone else for fairness. However, like I have been, I'm always willing to lend a hand.
BTW, that should be all the information you need for now for your list. Plus, I hope the format of how I linked/named should help.
