In the end we decided on the Dragger Walker by a landslide victory
Our next order of business was to begin collecting spice for income.
First we dealt with the housing crisis
The Thieves guilds kept popping up all over the place but we let them be as they were mostly harmless
We at first believed that the outside world was weak and lawless. We would soon be proven wrong
Back in those days I was still new to the job. I was not really entirely sure what was going on. The days passed like a blur
What I do distinctly remember was forming a trade route with the Pink nation
What I also remember was being worried by the Zealots. They were sweeping the globe becoming one of the largest factions. Even worse was their very aggressive attitudes.
With rumors of the oppressive conditions in their cities we began investing in better public entertainment to keep the citizens placated
But we tried to keep calm
As the turmoil continued we managed to purchase the Pink Nations city via our trade route
With our current prosperity we were able to purchase three sea vehicles
that was when the Yellow nation struck. They managed to disable our defences and with no way to defend ourselves, we were forced to evacuate. That day I swore that someday, somehow, we would return and free the city of my ancestors
Back at our new city we began working on a worse case scenario plan. We retooled some of the Zealots technology to fit the religion of the Green Bird, to be used in case we ever were forced to capture the city through any way possible
and on the other side of the plan we turned to the only civ powerful enough to help us...
