You really need to get that death mage site searching, then use Conjuration to replace with Lamas!

Wait, didn't you say you were not going to use province defense?

These Llamas Lamias?

I think it was one of the suggested challenges, yeah. I only took about half of the challenges because, well, frankly I'm not a particularly awesome player. The combination of difficult independents, playing a nation I've never played, a map I've never played, and 50% income and resources penalties was pretty much all the change I could take :P.

If your god has enough nature magic, it'll imbue its blessing with regenerative powers. Since prophets are constantly blessed, you'll have it regardless of being directly blessed.

Aww I was gonna say he was a horrible mutant that regenerated, but yeah Dakk is right. Nature-5 magic on your pretender gives blessed units 10% health regeneration per turn in battle. Next post, relatively long:
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Mid Spring-
Nergash, while searching for sites, made his way to Sermioc and is establishing a lab to create facilities for training Smiths. Knave and his knights were part of their first battle this month and he and his cavalry performed admirably. His flaming sword struck fear in to the hearts of the Ermorian troops who survived the heat.
Spoiler: Knave's Fire Brand (click to show/hide)
Also, Dagan's contract is ending next month and it seems it will not be renewed. The money being saved will go towards training troops in Sermioc. After this month and one more we should have enough of an army to resume the offensive against Ermor.

Late Spring-
One last relatively peaceful season before we resume our attacks. We are still under nearly constant raids by Ermor, but we sustain no permanent losses from them. The people of Fever Fens, where the fortress of Ulm is located, are ready for our attacks to begin and have donated additional funds to guarantee victory.
Spoiler: Additional Taxes! (click to show/hide)
Also, Rath, one of our two active Priest Smiths seems to have caught a disease while fighting off the Ermorian raiders. Wallin, the Master Smith trained in Astral magic was able to create a shroud which bestowed regenerative powers from my mastery of nature magic upon Rath and halted the progress of the disease. We won't be able to cure it for some time, but at least he won't die from its wasting effects.
Spoiler: Rath's Disease (click to show/hide)

Early Summer-
This was a sad month indeed. Dagan, the mercenary sage whose contract had recently lapsed was hired by Ermor. It seems they then decided they had no need for him and sent him, alone, in an attack against Cerne. He did not survive.
Spoiler: Dagan's Suicide (click to show/hide)
The fortress at Sermioc was completed several months before Nergash was able to construct the laboratory, so the opportunity was taken to expand the Ulmish spy network. Stene, one of these newly trained spies has been assigned the task of investigating the great desert to the north of the Stone Grave Mountains.
Spoiler: Great Desert (click to show/hide)
In addition, the army is finally large enough to move out. 26 flail-wielding infantry have been trained in total, about half with black steel plate armor and half without. They're moving to Cerne to take Ermor's southern province first.

Research Update:
I took a break from Construction to get Enchantment 3 so I could make myself a Death-1 mage if Nergash ever finds any death sites. It's better than having to rely on a 10% random pick from those shaman. Back to Construction now, though. Gotta push to level 6 or maybe even 8 to get the really good items.

Mid Summer-
There were no attacks from Ermor this month. I'm unsure whether that is a good sign or a bad one, but we can only continue to muster our forces as we have. It seems Ermor's influence remains pervasive however, even when their troops are not attacking, and Eshten has also caught a disease. A shroud is being made to protect him but if this continues a better solution may be required. I can feel my influence, boosted by the preaching of the new Iron Faith, beginning to extend into Ermor itself. In fact, I would be surprised if the unnatural powers of the Ermorian priests lasted through the entire length of the coming attack.
Spoiler: No Ermor Domain (click to show/hide)
We will launch our attack next month and perhaps march on Ermor itself the month after that. In addition to our other troops, we have begun training Ulmish crossbowmen to reinforce the flail-wielding infantry and Knave's black knights. Stene has discovered a tribe of amazons lead by a Garnet Sorceress in the desert. It may be worth establishing contact with them after our war with Ermor is over.

Late Summer-
Late summer brought a month of successes and discoveries, as well as some troubling news. A previously unknown nation, R'lyeh, sent a bizarre tentacled messenger that crawled out of the water neighboring Ulm to deliver a declaration of war.
Spoiler: R'lyeh War (click to show/hide)
Cerne was defended, likely for the last time, against an attack by Ermor. The victory was so absolute that only one Ermorian commander managed to escape.
Morale was high in the wake of the attack and the troops were finally ordered to cross Ermorian borders and take Ministra, the southern province of Ermor.

Finally, Nergash found a magic site that solved two problems. It seems a stream in Epernia was cursed and had been spreading disease in the province. He managed to find the source and tap it for magic gems, but could not stop the spread of disease. Regardless, knowing that this is the source of the recent disease outbreak will help in preventing future spread.
Spoiler: Plaguewater Stream (click to show/hide)

Early Fall-
Our attack in Ministra brought victory.
Spoiler: Ministra Battle Report (click to show/hide)
Eshten guarded Epernia with ease against a group of barbarians that Ermor had hired, as well. Reports from that area indicate that Ermor has taken a new province to the west of Epernia. Since Ermor itself remains too large of an obstacle to overcome, the army is being routed around to the north to take the remaining provinces. Newly trained reinforcements will meet them along the way and with the additional troops they should be able to overcome anything Ermor can throw at them.

Awesome battles, and giving Knave a Fire Brand was a good choice. :D

Poor Dagan - hired by fools, it would seem.  :-\

As for the Unequaled Obesity - Hate to break it to you, Bluerobin, but the extra enc will be a killer. Get a girdle of might / amulet of resilience on him ASAP.  8)

When they say his ability with increases over time, does that mean he'll grow fatter and fatter? Can we see his weight somewhere?

Also, could you explain the Dominion mechanic? I never played that game, so I have no idea what you're talking about.

Never mind actually. I realised how lazy of me it was to ask that and went to RTFM.

Love the game to death and spread the worst with many friends, however... not willing to pay 60 $, seriously. To bad you can't patch it either...

I think he means that if you get it from torrent then you cant patch it. Which is true. The patches tend to kill torrents. And a new patch is due out soon.

I love the QM line (the guy that does the CBM mod) in the "How to Know you are Addicted to Dom3" thread.
You know you must be a hero, because of your unequaled obesity.

Mid Fall-
It seems Cerne remains a target of the Ermorian leadership and as the army passed through, an attack came from the west, but was easily repelled.
Spoiler: Sad for Ermor (click to show/hide)
The Master Smiths have been learning from Mamor as he aids in their studying and a recently trained Smith has gained proficiency in Air magic. News has returned from Stene has well; he has nearly reached the other end of the Great Desert. Finally, a squad of thirteen reinforcing infantry are being lead by a master smith to meet up with the army in Epernia before they strike at Ermor again.

Late Fall-
This month has been a quiet one, with no battles and few complications. The infantry reinforcements joined the rest of the army, and the Smith who lead them returned to research. The army is mounting an attack against Holburg, Ermor's northern-most province. An unfortunate report returned to us from Stene as well and he mentioned he's caught a disease. He still feels quite strong, so he'll continue on for now.

Early Winter-
Stene has reported back the reason for his disease: past the Great Desert lies the nation of C'tis, a land of lizardmen and poison swamps. From Stene's reports it seems that the nation actively cultivates these swamps to cause disease in its enemies. Our spies have also moved into Ermor's most recently taken province. From this province they have had sightings of R'lyeh, the monstrous undersea nation. It seems we are not as alone in our corner of the world as we had hoped.
Spoiler: Overview (click to show/hide)
Our troops were involved in two battles this month. One, the attack of Holburg, went incredible smoothly despite the large number of Ermorian defenders. The other battle was an attack on Ministra; an attempt by Ermor to retake their southern province. The attack was repelled, but we lost two noble commanders: Kiron the Priest Smith and Erkeborn, a Master Smith who had been aiding in the defense of Cerne and Ministra for many months.
Spoiler: Battle summaries (click to show/hide)
Knave has proven himself to be a great asset to the Ulmish army and a program for training and outfitting more Black Lords has been instituted.
Spoiler: The Black Lords (click to show/hide)
Not many of these elite cavalry will be trained, partially because of the expense and partially because the training occurs in the same locations as Master Smith training. While this program is being started, the army will move on to Tirannaea, Ermor's most recent conquest.

The Epernian lords sent words of thanks for Nergash's help in determining the source of the disease spreading in the province. With that knowledge, and warnings to avoid the cursed stream, people are mostly recovered and trade has picked up again.
Spoiler: Epernia's Market (click to show/hide)

Mid Winter-
Again this month there were two battles. Our main army lead by Knave captured Tirannea from Ermor with no difficulties and only one infantryman lost. The province defenders of Ministra, reinforced hastily by a Master Smith who had been in Cerne, repelled a small Ermorian attack with no losses. Stene has sent a report of the discovery of a C'tissian fortress, but notes that it doesn't seem very impressive and mentions that he is continuing to investigate the area.
Spoiler: C'tissian Fortress (click to show/hide)

Magic Update
Construction 6 has been finished. I'm switching to Enchantment for a bit again so I can make some gargoyles and cast the Riches from Beneath ritual which gives me more resources per turn. And maybe Gift of Health because I can and it's awesome.
