The requirement for a vowel, in English, is based on phonetics, not spelling. Phonetically Y replicates several transitional vowel sounds, and is thus always phonetically a vowel even if it's not the structural vowel in a word (such as "you"). The same is true for X and Z, only with consonants.

X, Y, and Z are the transitional letters in written English.

To be fair, Y would be bigendered (much different than bisexual) where Y feels the characteristics and thoughts of both a full vowel and a full consonant, leading Y to often switch from one to the other, depending on which set of feelings are more prominent at the time.

I demand all restaurants serve their milkshakes and other dairy drinks in fully insulated recyclable, environmentally friendly and FDA approved cups with CFL bulbs to light up the straw! I am a politician I get what I want! No I don't care how much it costs the consumer! Shut up before I make it illegal to drink from any other form of container and justify it with ridiculous, exaggerated health statistics our bureaucrats in the public transportation department came up with!

How did it happen?
How in the Hells did we first discover jello? It was first patented in 1895, which means it was probably made earlier. Why was it created? Was there any purpose in making it? What possible purpose could a semi-solid like jello have to people before even radio? I don't know about you but I see the chance of accidentally making it slim to none. If that's the case it must have been made on purpose or made towards a different one. So I ask again: Why?

Why is it that whenever I read a sentence while the object it is written on is turned over I read the words correctly but the sentence backwards?

Answer: I never learned to read from right to left.

Seattle is in Washington. Washing is usually done to wet things. Water is wet. I'm currently in the water temple in OoT 3DS. I have decided to build a water temple in DF, then flood the hell out of it to make it authentic. I also need to have three levers that control the water levels.
