Is it just me, or is something odd with the Lurker Tracker?  I used to be able to just F5 and it would update, but now when I try that it just wipes out the post info, but the form at the top is still filled in.  If I hit submit again, then it gives me the same post info as when I first submitted that URL.  I have to feed it the URL of a different post in order for it to give me up-to-date information.

Also, the bookmarklet link doesn't work for me, but I suspect that may be because I have javascript disabled.

The bookmarklet IS one line of javascript, sooo... Also, I think I know what's causing that issue, and I'll fix it later.

It's also faster now, but it takes longer to store posts. Should be an overall improvement unless it's loading a long thread for the first time.

Maybe you should ask Toady to sticky this, Think?

There appears to be a problem with the tracker.  When I put in the address for BYOLoLC it just sits there loading without ever actually bringing anything up, but if I put the url on the end of this: "http://think0028.com/lurkertracker.py?url=" it's up in seconds.  Any clue what could be causing it?

I think that it's a side effect of the fix mentioned above. The first time a thread is checked it now takes a bit longer to read and store the posts, but once it's done it will be faster (and better, thanks to the duplicate fix).

I just checked the tracker for BYOLoLC, and this time it came up pretty fast. Try it again, and say if it's still giving you problems.

Just be a bit more patient with it the very first time you check it for a given game. It will catch up quickly.

That's what I thought at first, but I had it sitting there for two hours and it still didn't load.  Like I said, making a link to it makes it load in seconds, but going to here: http://think0028.com/lurkertracker.html and putting the thread URL in results in it never loading.

Hmm... I see, yes. It's up to Think to diagnose, I'm afraid.

In the mean time, direct links work fine, so use that instead. The Javascript bookmarklet also works fine: just make a bookmark with the javascript target listed in this page as "bookmarklet" and click it from within a game (but not from a page that ends in "#new" or similar; using it from the first post will always work).

If it helps, here are direct links to the trackers of all currently active games:

* Beginner's Mafia XXXVI
* Bastard Supernatural
* BYOLoLC
* BYOR9

Just use these links until Think posts a fix.

Please give a bit more detail than "dun't work". Do they time out? load incorrectly? Please send me a PM with details, and I'll see if I can help.

If others are also having troubles with those direct links, please speak up -- they should work.

Huh, they work now. When I made my previous post, they brought a 'Problem loading the page' error.

Hello! I'll go diagnose the problem right now, but that's a weird one to be sure.
