Re: Adventures In Actova! [It's the pits]
« Reply #60 on: June 12, 2011, 03:09:16 pm »

Nah, the bandits were wearing leather anyway. When you kill a creature I'm going to assume you take it's money and valuable objects, ignoring weapons and armour. You can take weapons and armour if you want, but it is very inefficient as loot.

All:
Frist leaps over the pit and flips the table upside down. He moves it over to the pit and uses it as a bridge with the rope holding it up. The party crosses it slowly and carefully before removing the rope.

All:
You try and loot the room, but find nothing worth taking. You then proceed north through the doors, weapons ready. You are in a very dark hallway stretching out thirty feet. At the end is another set of double doors.

Have max walk five paces ahead of the rest of the group; He can take a hit from any trap. If all goes well have Frist and Bonobo set up another ambush and Max open the door.

But if Frist fails to find the traps he will most likely be killed by them. Max has a decent chance of surviving a hit. Hmm... that said, Max will be more useful once we find monsters, so best keep him healthy. Let Frist lead.

All:
Frist checks the corridor over for traps before quickly deciding that he can't see any. Max then walks five feet ahead of the rest of the group, prepared to be hit by any trap that will hit him. Flinching constantly, he makes it to the doors unharmed, and the rest of the group joins him. Frist and Bonobo set up their entry position again while max kicks the doors open with his battleaxe at the ready.

Elaborately carved columns parade down the centre of this marble-paved hall. In the centre of this room is a badly damaged stone  statue, which appears to have originally depicted a man carrying a large spear with the point angled downwards; the upper parts of the statue have been smashed, and fragments of marble litter the floor nearby. At the base of the ruined statue is a large wooden chest.

Frist: Check the room for traps. If it is safe, open the chest.

Especially check that statue for traps - downward-pointed spear with chest at base makes me nervous.

All:
Frist looks over the statue for traps carefully, making sure not to set any off anything. After a full ten minutes of searching he gives up searching the statue, and gives the thumbs up to the rest of the group.

"Okay, it's clear, as far as I can see. I'm not the bes thief, though, do don't quote me on this." Frist shouts down the hall.

Suddenly, a huge, earthworm-like creatures burst through the north door. It are not like any giant earthworm, though, it has sharp teeth and bony a skeleton. It begins rushing towards Frist.

Skyler will make a strip of fabric, and then soak it in the oil, and then add that to a bottle of oil= Bottle of burning oil, once he lights it and throws it.

Heh. This does make me think of D&D.

You could just set the oil on fire and throw it at the enemy...

Hmm...

Frist: Put Max between yourself and the worm.
Max: Take a hack at it, or throw a spear if you can't reach.
Skyler: Attempt to climb the statue for a height advantage or to deliver a flying attack latter
Bonobo: Throw a chunk of the crumbled statue at the worm
